@PoliticsForAlI @Telegraph This was the basis of an episode of Black Mirror.

@JamesMelville @SteveBakerHW It's just a PR game to try and increase vaccine uptake in the young. The Conservatives are gaming the UK population.
English

The only way they can have determined this so quickly is because the new variant is actually the Sept variant. @MattHancock to justify Tier 4 has allowed France & others to close borders to turn the screw re Brexit talks @BorisJohnson unbelievable naivety.

@TRitzmann @tnewtondunn NO extension. Boris would lose his job before the end of the week if he extends. We need a WTO brexit. Now is our one chance at freedom.

It appears time has well and truly ran out. There will be no EU-UK trade agreement in place on Jan 1 now, as the European Parliament’s deadline of tonight has expired so it will refuse to ratify one until next year.
davidmcallister@davidmcallister
3: We have just learned that there will be no agreement today. Therefore, the European Parliament will not be in a position to grant consent to an agreement this year.

@DPJHodges Why is no one talking about a new 'Tier 1.5'? Pubs open with no 'substantial meal' requirements, household groups or the rule of 2? A beer with a mate is priceless for mental health.
English

@MrKennethClarke Every so often I have to double check this account is actually a parody....
English

@krishgm It's all going to be OK. The centre ground will triumph. The divisions that caused Brexit will be healed by a new parliamentary arithmetic; all because the moderate wing of the Conservatives were canabalised by their own party.
English

@iainmartin1 @george_yarrow @Peston @MichelBarnier The German economy is going to the wall!Clearly, their bumber trade surplus, low debt, high productivity economy is looking fragile to a messy Brexit. Do you believe what you're saying? A minor economic blip in the last 30yrs of their history.
Italy. Point taken.
English

@george_yarrow @Peston @MichelBarnier Quite staggering complacency in Brussels considering what's happening to German economy, and to Italy.
English

Arguably this is the most important statement made today by EU Brexit negotiator @MichelBarnier - “nobody has said a no deal has terrible consequences...Consequences will be much more serious for the UK”

@RegHoare @jpsc01 @eucopresident Brexiter's plans 2016 v 2019 reality? Tusk is on the money. *insert Liam Fox quote*.
English

@jpsc01 @eucopresident The wisest fools...either way, being disrespectful is not a good look for a public official.
English

Donald Tusk @eucopresident puts his foot in his mouth. Whatever he (an unelected bureaucrat) thinks of those that led and promoted Brexit, a democratic majority voted to leave. Nor should he assume the 48% were all in love with the European project. twitter.com/eucopresident/…
António Costa@eucopresident
I've been wondering what that special place in hell looks like, for those who promoted #Brexit, without even a sketch of a plan how to carry it out safely.

@itvpeston @Peston @Keir_Starmer @TwitterUK Where do you believe the centre ground of politics is right now?
English

Ask @Keir_Starmer anything! Reply to this tweet with a question for the Shadow Secretary of State for Brexit and we'll be putting the best questions to him during our LIVE @TwitterUK stream at 8pm tonight. #Peston

@GNRailUK @ProfJamesLogan Our of interest, what were you prioritising before?
English

@ProfJamesLogan Hi James. My sincere apologies for the crowding and conditions here. We are introducing an interim timetable from July 15th. This will focus on prioritising the running of peak services and reducing service gaps, two issues that lead to services being crowded. ^Alex
English

Dear @GNRailUK your trains are consistently delayed or cancelled. The timetable has changed: fewer trains & more stops. Trains are old, no air conditioning & they are dangerous. See pic. You have increased fares. This level of service is unacceptable. What are you doing about it?

English

@GNRailUK I know that it was a short term amendment. Why was it cancelled?
English

@MatthewBurton3 I'm really sorry about this Matthew, this was a short term amendment. ^Nat
English

@GNRailUK What happened to the 0615 Letchworth to King's Cross? Arrived at station and it's been cancelled. Checked the National Rail Enquiries at approx 545. When did you know this service was cancelled?
English

@GNRailUK Morning, looking at my journey home tonight on National Rail Enquiries, have you pulled Hitchin and Letchworth stopping from your XX.12 / XX.42 ex KX? (16.12/16.42 etc). They were stopping last week!
English

@GNRailUK So I can attempt to plan my working day, will the 16.42 be running tomorrow?
English

@matthewburton3 This was an additional service that was added last min. ^Amy
English

@GNRailUK Any suggestions to how I can get home from London to Letchworth between 14.51 and 16.51? There appears to be a 2hr gap in service.
