@shawngorham This could not be more true. Yes, labor costs may be similar, but other fixed costs are why company A can charge less than company b LT debt interest rates also play into this. Debt at 4% from 5 years ago isn’t the same as debt at 9% from tw.

Overhead - one of the least talked about things in home services Some of these legacy companies own their real estate (usually free and clear) that was bought decades ago Company one - little to no building/yard expense Company two - pays $20,000 a month the rent the same property Now do this with all the other items, equipment, tools, transportation, assets etc The same two companies can have drastically different overhead

I'm guessing right now, a real tough job is #CBJ season ticket rep. I've seen a few fans say they are giving up their season tickets because they can't continue justifying spending their money on a team that doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Frustration is high.

I called a company on 3/20 to get my yard aerated. They said it’s usually $125 but in March there’s an early bird special for $118.50. I said cool and they came out a few days later. The bill just comes in through the mail and I notice it’s for the full $125. I ask about the discount and they say the discount is only applied if the payment is made in March regardless of when they performed the service. It’s literally a $6.50 difference but it pissed me off. What a wild way to run a business. Helps me streamline our office policies and make sure we are getting bad reviews over $6.50

This isn't a Columbus thing, it's true in a many NHL markets. Game is in Ohio, but look how many Boston fans are not just at this game, but in the best seats. Seems the season ticket holders/corporations who can afford those seats bail on home team and sell even though Columbus is in the playoff chase. Lot of serious Blue Jacket fans who have to watch this.

Since 11/26 the @BlueJacketsNHL have given up a 3rd period lead for a loss 9 times. Yes, 9 times. That's a minimum of 9 points not earned. #cbj should have 97 points. But their lack of on ice leadership has them at 88. If they miss the playoffs, this is why. Not some missed shot

But there are many times where dealers/shops are helping me out with all of our equipment if we are just swamped. A man's gotta have priorities

In CA you are required to have a license to CUT GRASS, it's a C27 license. They mostly catch business owners paying non licensed landscapers via their annual workers comp audit. Then they classify the unlicensed landscaper as an employee and charge the business owner for his workers comp on wages paid. No lube in CA my friends

@BlueCollarInvr @BEnugentphoto I spent 10 years working for integrators, machine builders, and then manufacturing on the back end. Doing controls work as well. Left 3 years ago to pursue the landscaping hustle full time. I hope I never go back. Always enjoyed troubleshooting - but PE leaders are really dumb.
