@Grubsweatcheers Ooh - nice! Thanks for letting me know!

@christinaemoss @jnicolemorgan They’re also about the right size to tuck at the end of a couch without taking up too much floor space.
English

@christinaemoss @jnicolemorgan Mostly as their replacement filters are widely available, quality is a known factor, and on the lower speeds they are very quiet. I have one of the previous gen Honeywell HEPAs at home in the living room and it’s just always working away on low speed to keep down the cat fluff.
English

@ee1ss1 I continue to lurk, but not generally expecting to write much here again. Some of the key people were engaging have left, the future of the platform is grim, and a lot of the conversations I enjoyed are much harder to find than they used to be. Too much noise, not enough signal.
English

@Matthew_Froese I hope this means you're considering coming back to this very imperfect app.
I've missed your posts, especially about indoor air quality (and now ASHRAE 241).
English

@paulloewen @DaveSawatsky @Todd_Friesen Yeah, that happens to some extent, but I think that’s sort of a permanent cultural phenomenon
English

@Matthew_Froese @DaveSawatsky @Todd_Friesen Maybe I typed blame too fast, but certainly that sentiment. I've heard people say that young people are losing their faith, distracted, immoral, etc. Or too interested in trends, etc.
English

@DaveSawatsky @paulloewen @Todd_Friesen Blame isn’t quite the language I’d use, but I’ve been asked many times at church conferences some version of “so where are all the other young people?”
Churches are aging rapidly and there’s a lot of anxiety about the future.

@julespenner @Todd_Friesen I’m so glad he had a good time!
English

@Todd_Friesen Still lots of young mennos that are musical, some of it choral, but they’re all doing other stuff that’s meaningful to them. I grew up in a very musical, very Menno family and have 0 recollection of sangerfests. I don’t think there’s a cohesive central space now.
English

@Matthew_Froese Any concepts for drawing in prospective young Mennos? Different music/arts genre? More vocal training for young Mennos? I'm guessing there is no going back to a culture that has a strong choral tradition. Too many alternatives, and nothing that can really be the next big thing.
English

@Todd_Friesen I’m not down on nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake, really. I’d go to a concert from pretty much any band I loved in high school, and I’d probably have a great time. But play the hits, none of the new stuff!
The fretting over the future of the church in the same breath tho…
English

@Matthew_Froese My in-law parents absolutely loved it. But, I guess goes to your point.
No ticket for me, but would have loved to see Mike Janzen perform on the keys.
English

@MetisMamaMB I appreciate the in-depth analysis!
English

@IrishofManitoba I’m on just about all of them and none of them are quite there. Bluesky is the nicest app, I think, but the limited invite situation means it’s hard GI connect with all the people who want to stay in touch if you migrate.

@KurtSargent2 @CoolStreetsWPG That’s the Tremblay Bridge over the Seine

Thanks Mayor @ScottGillingham !
Appreciate your support of our work.

#Winnipeg has its rough edges, but there is incredible beauty in this city as well. Thanks to @CoolStreetsWPG for the work you do to animate our AT bridges. This looks amazing! twitter.com/coolstreetswpg…

@AlvisPettker @birchermuescan In my experience Christians who are invoking this notion are often simply justifying being rude. Had a number of strangers do this explicitly on Facebook recently re: attending Pride with my church.
English

@MsBehavior @MeghanJMJW Possible they’re telling you tire size rather than frame size, which doesn’t tell you about fit at all. Standard mountain bike tires are marked as 26” x tire width, so 26x2 or whatever
English

@MeghanJMJW I don’t know where they measure at, and all the info online is conflicting.
