Never really thought about going down the online poker rabbit hole.....But it does have some weight to it Lets look at things on the surface Company announces huge guaranteed prize pool of 5 million dollars - on a $150 buy in - sounds epic, great value, huge field - Half a mill for the winner (or thereabouts) When the tournament kicks off, around 21k players have bought in Assuming everyone paid their way (which they don't as some players qualify through feeder events) - this would equate to just over 3 million dollars for the 'prize pool' A 2 million dollar shortfall on their 'Guarantee' An hour later, the entire website is down and the 'connections to server unstable' with people on X saying that this has happened before - and they end up cancelling the tournament ..... This is actually happening right now in real time Anyone saying online poker is suspect - is probably onto SOMETHING - it is probably not rigged in the obvious ways that we might imagine - It is probably much smarter than that Bots? Fake accounts being run by the house, with fake money waging against real humans for real money? Nothing is really out of the question in 2025 I am going to dig deeper - this could be a very interesting rabbit hole See ya!

Absolutely disgraceful. Cancel tourney, payout those remaining & have new tourney next week. Simple & most fair way.
