Arsenal. A bit of politics. Understands the difference between a war and a genocide.

@soniasodha @adamboultonTABB There were three victims on the 29th April and it’s very important for us to remember both the Muslim victim and the two Jewish victims.” Baroness Warsi #r4today. “An important point,” replies the presenter. So why are so few people making it?

Chelsea have still got to go to Anfield… They’ve got to play a Spurs side fighting for their life, 3 days after the FA Cup final… And travel to the Stadium of Light against a Sunderland side still with (an outside) chance of Europe. 3 points ahead of 13th, they could very easily finish outside the Top 10 for the 2nd time in 4 seasons under Clearlake. Whether you agreed with the methods that led to their success or not, Chelsea used to be a serious institution… Now? A laughing stock.

@MatttillettN6 @DrCaseyBabb @jonsac @MarinaPurkiss It shouldn't exist in its current form as a murderous and racist ethno-nationalist state. Hope that helps. And no idea what the relevance of your contribution was given the post you were replying to?

I can't stop thinking about this clip with @jonsac and @MarinaPurkiss. I actually found it quite difficult to watch, not just because it's so wildly offensive and inappropriate, but because it perfectly illustrates something that Jews have been dealing with for thousands of years. Let me explain. Throughout history, Jews have repeatedly been told two things simultaneously. First, "This is why you're hated. You do understand this, don't you? Tell us you understand and accept it." Second, and perhaps more painful, is "For us to accept you, you're going to have to prove you're a good Jew. One of the ones we like. In order to do that, you'll have to abandon a part of your identity that we'll choose for you. Nod if you understand us." You're a communist? Don't be communist. You're a capitalist? Don't be a capitalist. You sound and dress funny. Don't do that. Be like us. Oh, you think you're one of us? You aren't one of us – don't be silly. You should be out in the open, like we are – just make sure we don’t see you. Don’t hide, though. Don’t be secretive and tribal. You people should go back where you came from. Now that you’re back where you came from, please renounce your home. It. Never. Ends. Don't do this to us any longer. Wake up, educate yourself, open your eyes, and for God's sake, cut this out. It's disgraceful.

"So all our experiences are invalidated because there is a Jewish bloc?" @jonsac questions @MarinaPurkiss' defence of pro-Palestinian marches and suggestion that geopolitics feeds antisemitism in the UK. @albieamankona | @theJeremyVine | #JeremyVine

@DrCaseyBabb @jonsac @MarinaPurkiss Like it or lump but British zionists endless conflation of Jews/Judaism with genocidal Israelis/zionism is fostering antisemitism. Eg. having the Chief Rabbi using the Torah to sanctify the extreme violence perpetrated on Palestinians in Gaza is a menace to all Jews.

A friend of mine messaged me this week, more than a little frustrated at what she feels is silence from people who she would expect to be vocal in calling out antisemitism in public. She’s Jewish, her children are escorted to their sports field by security guards and now there are police guarding the school too. “Wouldn’t it be nice if people posted their support for the U.K. Jewish community” she wrote. I felt a bit uneasy replying - won’t it look like I’m claiming some understanding of a community I’m not part of? Is it a bit performative? Is there something more useful I can do? But she’s right - it’s gross that children can’t play sport without a security escort. Can you imagine how you’d feel if that was your child? You’d be wildly angry and you’d want everyone to be shouting about it. And we’re not, not really. Often, I think, because people are afraid to be drawn into a political debate they don’t fully understand or feel comfortable with and they just don’t want the hassle. But this isn’t a political debate. It’s about people turning on our friends and threatening them, attacking them and killing them and it’s happening here. It’s that simple. I am ashamed that children can’t go to school here without a police escort - something has gone horribly wrong. And I’m sorry that we haven’t been more vocal, we should be. It is that simple. This article struck a chord, but I don’t think it applies only to British Muslims. It applies to us all. Silence on antisemitism shames us as British Muslims thetimes.com/article/d93a13…

@FergusCraig You've got the whole establishment on your side. Every political party supports Jews and literally let's the Jewish state get away with documented mass murder on a scale previously unavailable for ordinary people to see. You're the one whose scared though. Jesus wept.

I just thought I’d say I’m thinking of my Jewish friends at the moment. And the fact that I thought twice about posting this because (insanely) I feared some blowback for such a statement is part of the problem.

@Ostrov_A Perhaps Israel committing Genocide in Palestine and war crimes in Lebanon etc has something to do with this. Especially when Israel tries to conflate their racist, Apartheid, terrorist state with the Jewish religion. Many Jews are opposed to Netanyahu.

I was in Berlin at the weekend. The Bundesrepublik does not mess about with antisemitic symbols. It has banned the red triangle. And the fight against antisemitism has split the German left completely. Time it did so here. Stop tolerating it.

@MatttillettN6 @paulmasonnews I have an issue with all countries with an ethno nationalist philosophy. I have an issue with Nazi Germany supporters and I have an issue with aparteid South Africa supporters. Zionism is etho nationalist, if you support it then I have an issue with you, not your religion.

Yet another appalling anti-Semitic attack: Two men stabbed outside a synagogue in north London. Man arrested following incident in Golders Green this morning. Only the latest in a string of attacks in this predominantly Jewish neighbourhood. Terrible.
