A #History observation.
Having watched the first episodes of World War II with Tom Hanks I was hoping for something more dynamic.
Yes I understand it’s for a broad brush audience but it isn’t anything that hasn’t been done a number of times. The clips are interesting bits of new information but sort of a rushed history. The talking heads approach is a bit boring. On a general level ok but no really grabbing you and wanting you to stay. I’m hoping future episodes are a bit more engaging. @WeHaveWaysPod #WW2

PEARL HARBOR was released 25 years ago today.
Michael Bay used retired military ships and over 700 extras in uniform during the attack scenes, with the U.S. Navy cooperating heavily to help recreate the scale of the harbor assault.

@toniwriter Speaking for D+C police, we currently have 6 officers covering Exeter. 140,000 people. This is a good shift, yesterday we had 4

When I did my ride along with the Met there were 14 officers (including us) at just one of the jobs we attended.
A previous ride along with D&C? I was with a single crew PC & there were just 11 officers for the whole section shift.
The contrast was wild.

No matter how many decades we are in this game, county police officers are always in awe of the sheer numbers the Met can put on the ground at a single incident. You are probably looking at half the response officers for an entire small county for that moped.
