As Crimson Desert crosses the 4 million-copy milestone, Pearl Abyss is making pure profit, with revenue continuing to pour in as people discover the real joy of a genuine sandbox open-world experience. Meanwhile, many of the Western gaming journalists remain obstinate and continue to affirm their original opinion, as the entire internet clowns them for rating this game 6/10 or 2.5/5. etc. This game breaks the rubric mold of the typical AAA experience, and is a clear signal that many Western game journalists aren't gamers, and do not have the self-guided agency to form their own path through the game. Many of these "journalists" are leftist-liberal-minded people who tend to score higher on agreeableness, but what happens is they tend to form in-group clique opinions and consensus. This is why they all act like NPCs and always ride the wave of popular opinion, even if that opinion is patently false, as their credibility falls off the cliff like a bunch of lemmings.

Travis Northup, the IGN reviewer who gave Crimson Desert a 6 and Marathon a 9, is asking his editor for a re-review. He is busy getting into fights with people on X about his scores. He eventually concedes that Crimson Desert deserves another review and claims to have asked his editor for another crack at it.

@theadafiles Can’t save that many times lol. Timing isn’t completely terrible but you’ll need to be around 2 hours 30 minutes for A rank. No First Aids. If you have to save, you should save right before sewers and right after you get to the lab. That’s it.

@agustinititaaa Not gonna lie this is really strange behavior. How can you not remember where things are in the game? Why do you need a map to tell you everything? Current generation gamers literally need to be told where to go and where everything is.

@jsunnydee @notcinyy It’s always worth it to play a mainline RE game. I platinum’d the REmake and still go back to play the OG. I grew up with the series since the first one. So I’ll always play any of the games. Beaten them all multiple times.

@notcinyy Is this Resident Evil 2? Cause I had the same thing happen. I went from REmake to Resident Evil 2 expecting something significantly harder because it's an older game, but I just never ran out of ammo as Leon. Shotgun for days. I honestly think REmake 2 had more scarcity.
