🚨 HOUSTON AIRPORT COLLAPSES OVERNIGHT — TSA SHUT DOWN, PASSENGERS LEFT SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR UNTIL 3:30AM
This is inside IAH (George Bush Intercontinental Airport) at 3–4AM.
TSA wasn’t slow… it wasn’t backed up… it was shut down.
• Lines stretched from the basement through the terminal
• Zero movement for hours
• People missing flights before security even opened
• Entire sections of IAH turned into a makeshift sleeping area
Look at the floor.
Suitcases everywhere.
People using backpacks as pillows.
Dozens laid out across the terminal just waiting for TSA to come back.
Hours go by…
Then at 3:30AM, security finally reopens.
By then, people had already spent the entire night stranded inside the airport.
If this is normal now… what’s next?

"I’ll miss [working on] Fortnite Battle Royale," one Epic employee said after being laid off.
It’s estimated that over 1,000 workers - roughly a quarter of Epic Games’ workforce - were laid off today. In the coming days, there will be many questions about Fortnite’s future. A future that will almost certainly look different without so many of the people who helped build it.
Just to name a few:
- Christopher Pope, a Battle Royale Design Director, said they’ll “miss Fortnite Battle Royale, but I’ll miss you all most of all.” In the replies, another employee said Pope had been making plans for the future of BR “mere moments” before being laid off.
- Evan Kinney, the principal engineer behind Fortnite’s earliest live events, Replay Mode, and systems like the Rivalry feature.
- Paige Dugre, art producer for Chapter 6 Season 3, the Simpsons mini-season, Chapter 7 Season 2, and collaborations like KPop Demon Hunters.
Earlier this month, Jonah Kettman, a QA engineer on Fortnite Festival, defended Epic’s decision to raise V-Bucks prices, noting that “the quickest way to lower expenses is layoffs.” Kettman was laid off today—less than a week after paying a $4,000 vet bill for their cat.
- Devin Connors, a community manager at Psyonix, widely respected within the Rocket League community.
- Nik Blahunka, a lead writer behind many of Fortnite’s defining stories since 2017.
- Vitaliy Naymushin, character art director who helped shape icons like Jonesy, Ramirez, Penny, and Kyle.
Fortnite is the people behind it. And today, many of those people are gone.

Minutes after the Air Canada CRJ-900 collided with a fire truck on Runway 4 at LaGuardia Airport last night, killing both pilots, the air traffic controller's voice was captured on LiveATC audio. "That wasn't good to watch," a voice is heard saying on the frequency. The controller replies: "Yeah, I know. I was here. I tried to reach out. We were dealing with an emergency earlier. I messed up." The other voice responds: "Nah man, you did the best you could," according to Newsweek and CBC News. The controller had been working alone, handling both ground and tower operations. A United Airlines flight had aborted takeoff due to a warning light and a cabin odor that sickened the flight attendants. The controller cleared a fire truck to cross Runway 4 to reach the United plane. Seconds later, he realized Air Canada Flight 8646 was still rolling down the same runway after landing, according to CNN. "Stop, stop, stop, Truck 1, stop!" he shouted. It was too late. After the collision, the controller ordered an approaching Delta flight to go around, closed the runway, and called in additional emergency vehicles. @policytensor It won't even take "months" of preparations to bring up a Corps-level formation to the middle east, it's straight up impossible. The heyday of REFORGER took place before I was even born; the US just doesn't have the transport capacity to move real combat power at scale.

Yes. It will take months of preparations. Meanwhile, a brigade of marines can be air dropped or seize a costal enclave. But who will protect them?
Lack of preparation means even more casualties.

One of the biggest problems today is that people look at dozens of cargo flights and go "wow, this is so much!", but just like with any other kind of transport, the only heavyweight game in town is transport by sea. Without sealift, you cannot get an *army* into the theater.

One thing that has undisputably improved with Call of Duty Multiplayer is the content output for DLC seasons...
I mean just look at MW2019 Seasons 1 & 2 vs Black Ops 7 Seasons 1 & 2
MW2019 S1 had 0 new maps + 3 map remasters + 1 ground war map + 2 gunfight maps + 2 new guns
BO7 S1 had 3 new maps + 3 map remasters + 1 gunfight map + a new warzone map + a new zombies map + 6 new guns
MW2019 S2 had 2 new maps + 2 map remasters + 1 gunfight map + Warzone + 3 new guns
BO7 S2 had 3 new maps + 4 map remasters + 1 gunfight map + 1 20v20 map + Black Ops Royale + a new zombies map + 6 new guns
We just get so much more content nowadays. Of course quality is more important than quantity, but I'd argue the average BO7 map is miles better than a lot of the maps from the MW19 to MWII era of COD.
