- cursor gets 500M new users that help speed up product development = better model faster

Tesla FSD EU-wide approval
The Swedish 🇸🇪 Transport Administration restated that the EU-wide approval of FSD will ONLY apply to NEW vehicles produced AFTER the approval.
They also say that they have not received any application from Tesla or the RDW as of yet for national approval in Sweden.
No timeline to when the EU committee will make a decision about the EU-wide approval has been given to the official that responded to me. To note is that he is one of the committee members that will be involved in the decision.

@Neodel Don’t count on AI5 coming to Teslas at least not initially. From what I heard it is for Optimus and data centers initially. There is going to be a huge shortage of those chips and AI4 is good enough anyway.

Estaba pensando en cambiar mi actual Tesla Model Y Legacy por el nuevo Juniper, principalmente por el cambio HW3 a HW4 y las otras mejoras pero no lo voy a hacer definitivamente.
Sabiendo que en poco tiempo va a llegar HW5 además de posibles mejoras y/o cambio de modelo en un futuro no muy lejano además de la incertidumbre de que pasará con el HW3 en cuanto al FSD no es viable ni lógico un cambio actualmente.
Además mi actual Legacy (Long Range RWD) apenas tiene 50.000km sin un solo fallo y funcionando perfectamente.
Lo más lógico: esperar. La tecnología avanza muy rápido como para ir cambiando tan pronto

@LinkN01 I think this is a matter of Tesla explaining that the software would perform the same on an existing car. Basically another car with the same AI hardware version. AI4 cars I assume would be approved although that might need a separate approval.

EU wide FSD approval are NOT including cars allready taken into service, according to the Swedish Transport Administration.
This would mean (if true) you would have to buy a brand new Tesla in order to use FSD.

NEWS: The Dutch vehicle authority (RDW) has notified the European Commission of its plan to seek European Union-wide approval for @Tesla's FSD (Supervised), Bernd van Nieuwenhoven, general manager of type approvals at the regulator, said.
Next steps:
• All member states vote on this application
• Approval requires a majority of votes within the responsible committee.
As I said yesterday, the RDW often sets the standards that influences almost all of Europe, so if the vote passes, we should expect countries outside the EU as well to approve FSD.
