Although YouTube is increasing the prices of its premium subscription, I don’t think I can go back to watching ads and having no background play. Sure! In a CRUD app say you have to do 5 things on click (validate a form, show spinner, update UI, save to DB, log). If any step is slow, the browser can’t show a response until all of saveSettings() is finished running. This makes UI slow/unresponsive. With scheduler.yield() we can split this into two tasks, allowing the browser to show a user a quicker visual response.

Tip: Have a slow page? It might be keeping the main thread busy 😅 Use the scheduler.yield() API to yield to the main thread allowing the browser to run any pending high-priority work then continuing execution where it left off ⚡️ This keeps a page more responsive and, in turn, helps improve interactivity.

PSA for new devs: stop using cdn.tailwindcss.com in production. That CDN script is a dev/playground tool only. it runs the full Tailwind compiler in the browser at runtime. It's: - Huge (~350KB+) - Slow (compiles on every page load) - Not meant for real apps - Their own docs say don't ship it For real projects, use the Tailwind CLI or a build tool like Vite/Next Js so it generates a tiny, purged CSS file.

I don't know who at @browsercompany @arcinternet @joshm needs to hear this... but Arc performance is in the 🗑️ right now I say this as someone who championed Arc as "the best browser to come out in the last decade" two years ago and then continued to enjoy using it every day since But performance is in the toilet right now. It's constantly lagging; I cannot scroll smoothly at all. I cannot swipe between Spaces without it just rubberbanding back most of the time. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted, updated — everything My two Apple silicon Macs are not the prob. One has 64GB of RAM. The other has 96GB of RAM. RAM is not the problem here Worse, the performance issues are still there even when Arc is the only app running I know you guys feel Arc is "feature complete" but just look at Reddit and X... everyone is complaining about basic performance. IDK what happened, but it just took a nosedive in the past few months, and that's truly disappointing if it's not addressed ASAP

Safari because of "reloaded page because it's using too much energy" is becoming almost useless. I can't tab away from a page and come back to the same state. @Apple fix this, I don't want to go back to Chrome.
