the "middle class" label exists to make office workers with a stock portfolio think they have more in common with richard branson than their local plumber, when they don't.
the class of a person who works full time and owns assets entirely depends on what happens when they stop working.
if they're able to scrape-by through the passive income from their assets, that is functionally working class.
just because I have a shitty 1 bedroom apartment I'm making £800 a month off in some backwater town does not make me capitalist class or "middle" class, if I stop working I am not going to be able to afford living an average lifestyle.
that is called WORKING class.
