Nice chatting with you and I appreciate you listening to the episode. It's clear that we will remain at odds on this topic. The IVF industry clearly creates excess life with the goal of one of the embryos being brought to term. No one can claim that they believe life begins at a conception and that each life should be valued only to support the IVF industry.

@Maxwell_pringle @YouTube You have to take what I said out context to phrase it this way. IVF is a neutral tool. It’s generally used in ways that aren’t in conflict with pro life values. The majority are transferred. I never claimed “all”. Just like not “all” uses of ultrasounds are pro life

So your are good with the things outlined in these two paragraphs? I ask because even your source claims that IVF has extra embryos that can be used for other purposes than resulting in a baby. Also your source disagrees with your earlier position that the overwhelming majority of embryos are transferred. Clearly they are not all transferred and the source you referenced validates the position that IVF is inherently not pro-life. Even if I granted credence to your source that there are a half a million less embryos that are frozen, the position is valid that the IVF industry creates far more embryos than are implanted or that result in live birth.

@Maxwell_pringle @YouTube Yes, the goal of the paper was to figure out how many embryos are in excess to use for research if they can convince people to donate them. That it’s not from a ProLife source gives it more credence.

@ProLifeIVF @YouTube Did you even read your own source? Read these two paragraphs and then explain to me how you support the IVF industry and still claim to be pro-life.

@Maxwell_pringle @YouTube That estimate was during a period of higher failure, different practices, & didn’t account for transfers after the study period. The US gov relies on the disposition data fertstert.org/article/S0015-… done under more developed practices and with current embryo creation rates

@ProLifeIVF @YouTube Why do you refuse to acknowledge the insight of the ex-IVF doctors who saw death and abandonment in the industry? I think know why.

@Maxwell_pringle @YouTube I did. You misinterpreted what the fertility clinic claimed. You took fertilized eggs as what ought to end in live birth. You missed the natural attrition process/failure to implant & attributed failures as being unique to IvF. This is the same process in conventional conception

@Maxwell_pringle @YouTube 3.7 is avg If the first embryo (the healthiest) implants & ends in live birth the others are typically transferred as well. It’s unlikely they will also implant and end in live birth but real world vs statistics of course that’s a possibility. The U.S. gov estimates <10% excess

@ProLifeIVF @YouTube I’m trying to illustrate by giving an example to help you walk through this logic. How many embryos are created per IVF session? If the first embryo implants successfully, what happens to the remaining embryos?

@Maxwell_pringle @YouTube No, the demographic is <35 and high AMH Art.cdc.gov 1 is transferred at a time. Not 4. Reduction abortions are characteristic of ovulation stimulation therapies, not IVF

@ProLifeIVF @YouTube Did you listen to the episode? There’s more data there than the ex-IVF doctors who you will not listen to. You clearly have more apparent knowledge than the doctors who practiced IVF for years and RMA Network which promotes IVF.

@Maxwell_pringle @YouTube Also this article was a political message. Not all clinics shut down in Alabama. The ruling didn’t put them at risk. It was a political move for the clinics that did pause care.

@ProLifeIVF @YouTube The “demographic” is the IVF industry which has discarded and frozen millions of embryos. What happens if a woman implants 4 embryos and all 4 were successful? There have been abortions to remove the excess. The industry itself has created this evil.

@Maxwell_pringle @YouTube We agree that it’s wrong to intentionally destroy embryos. Most people don’t. We can target demographics at risk for creating excess embryos because we know the factors that indicate that risk

@Maxwell_pringle @YouTube You got podcast because you’re incorrect on facts. Live Action position is based on Catholic principles for the same reason they’re against condoms. The typical patient creates enough embryos for 1 live birth. Excess is not the norm. There’s no need to destroy embryos.

@Maxwell_pringle @YouTube 3.7 is the avg amount of embryos created. It takes 3 euploid transfers for a 95% chance at 1 live birth. If you fertilized 1 egg at a time it creates higher risk for the embryo
