I don't think the GOP fully grasp how badly they are fucking up right now. I'm talking to people who normally have ZERO interest in politics who are legitimately pissed off. They are not seeing the major reform they thought would happen and are REALLY MAD about it. No true accountability. No true mass deportations. No meaningful decrease in the deficit. Lots of very long vacations and no work. No bills being passed that REDUCE the government involvement in their lives. I'm very worried the GOP is sleepwalking toward a midterm reckoning they don’t see coming. People are pissed off that they voted Trump into office and then the GOP continues to slow-walk every reform people want. Where are all the DOGE cuts that were promised? Where is the SAVE ACT? Why haven't we defunded the Taliban yet? Why are bills passing the House and then disappear in the Senate? Why are the GOP still funding Left-wing NGOs that target and hate MAGA Republicans? Why are members of the GOP pushing for mass amnesty instead of mass deportations? People are waking up and they aren't happy about it. People believed they were voting for the Trump agenda. and instead, many feel like they’re getting the same old Washington. If Republicans in Congress don’t start producing tangible results, they’re going to discover that frustration has consequences... ...And by the time they realize how deep-seeded that frustration is, it may already be too late.

@JonSpeedTheBook @RuthInstitute Most people using IVF try everything they can before IVF. RRM isn’t an individual treatment, it’s a brand name for selling fertility treatments generally excluding specific forms. It’s appropriate for some people. It’s not appropriate for everyone

I understand that and I know people that wouldn't have their own if not for IVF. The ends do not justify the means. Too many babies are frozen or tossed in the IVF process. Many more than are born. Life literally begins at conception. 45% of the frozen unused embryos are donated to science 😔 They are human.

Now this is severely disordered . couldn't believe it if I didn't hear It .. two married men hired a surrogate to carry their child . at 22 weeks the Dr said the child might have a cleft lip and a heart issue and the daddies wanted the surrogate to abort .. she decided differently and chose life . close to the time of birth . she wanted to give birth in a home setting naturally .. they wanted a hospital birth .. they are or had sued her for breech of contract ?????.. My opinion .. this is severely disordered and has so many up and downs and inexplicable's . in my heart . All Life comes from God and hence the child was meant to be . He is the author of all life . There is no retraction I can recall to " Be Fruitful and Multiply " ..sure some pseudo-religious scholar will try to prove me wrong and probably could fashion a beguiling argument..

Look, years ago i didnt realize what goes on in IVF and thought "cool ppl can have their own children". But then I looked into it. On average for each IVF treatment they create 5-10 embryos. They typically implant 1-2.. that is 3 to 8 embryos that are tossed, frozen or donated to science. It is gross. We actually toss(kill), freeze or donate more babies that way than are killed in abortion every year. My husband's very close friend has 2 through IVF. Great kids, great family that doesn't negate the 6-16 babies that are tossed. They opted to freeze, then destroy.

This woman, a surrogate mother, was pressured to abort her unborn child at 22 weeks’ gestation because the men commissioning her womb did not wish to have a child with a cleft lip. We commend this woman for refusing to end the life of the child within her. Some will say surrogacy should not be banned as a result of a few shocking stories of callous humans. But the wrongness of surrogacy goes far deeper than the dozens of sad stories that make the news, and the stories of purportedly happy outcomes do not erase the underlying reality. @RonLegest This isn’t an accurate conclusion. This isn’t a peer reviewed study. They looked at claims, not at patients using IVF. Insurance claims don’t represent the actual medical history nor can they determine what care should have been provided on an individual basis

My father was born with a cleft palate. My grandparents didn't abort him and elected to have him get the repair surgery. The only issue he has is that he is a heavy breather from his nose and he has a big scar from his nose to mouth that is barely noticeable now. He graduated HS, played basketball and graduated from NC State, and went on to marry my Mom and had 2 children. He is very successful in his career. Well into his 60s now. Aborting a baby because of an easily repairable issue is wrong and medically unnecessary.

@toreycervantes @jchilders98 @mattvanswol Paying for services isn’t paying for embryos. Most people use their own gametes. It’s not selling any more than adoption is. Adoption is more directly payment for a child than surrogacy
