From my understanding the Mavs have to offer Seva either a two-way or standard (not happening) contract to retain his draft rights every season. If they fail to do so they forfeit their draft rights. Might be why Tyler was a DNP last night.

@All_Things_Mavs I hate to inform you but this is Seva’s choice where he plays not the mavs. I’m not sure why on earth he’d chose to play in the g league vs going and playing for a popular European club and making a lot more money. We own his nba rights, not his entire rights

I mentioned this on my YouTube channel last night, but I would rather put Seva on a two-way and have immediate access to him via the G-League than send him to a Euro team he can get a bunch of run with He might get more experience on a Euro team, but I’d rather have him over here to work with more directly instead of just waiting for him to come back every other summer until he’s ready I think Dallas found a little something there for real

Mavs to do list for the rest of summer: Cut Nembhard ditch Poulakidis and sign Mousa and Seva. Trade Klay for a 2nd if possible Trade Gaff for a protected 1st or 4 seconds Use the trade exception to take on a bad contract for picks.

I have always been a Jovic fan, but I do not want them taking on that contract unless he’s guaranteed minutes Coop Morez PJ Naji Santi Jovic Tarik Some additional flexibility with Morez/Santi being able to play the 5 in small lineups, but only so many minutes for positions 3-4. Can’t make that trade unless there’s another one coming.
