Truly remarkable how many people have told the Pope, in some way or another, to "shut up and dribble." Or corrected him on the Bible, despite their thin education on theology. Or told him to stay out of US affairs, despite him being a US citizen. The hubris is amazing.

Some sad news - my dear father, Mark Gerson, died last night, peacefully at home, aged 104. Here he is on VE day last year. He leaves a wonderful photographic collection of famous authors many held by the @NPGLondon . He also leaves many happy memories ♥️

So, my elderly mom broke her ankle in 3 places on Easter. She went in for surgery finally late yesterday afternoon to place an "L" shaped steel rod and to fuse the ankle. I was there until around midnight. It all went well. Oh, and yesterday was her birthday!
