@Mcsceptical

Back after being zapped for something Twitter will not tell me. Trying to re-establish contact with the 560 or so followers I had and add more. Massive Sceptic.

The BBC is ignoring the biggest march against the far right in history. Can we keep sharing to get it trending?

@AaronBastani Sometimes, that is the point, it is not RELIABLE! If electricity generation isn't reliable, the lights go off. It is not always windy, and it is dark every night.

Britain is presently generating 71% of electricity from renewables and is exporting some to boot. Nuclear plus renewables is presently 85% of all electricity being generated. Good things are possible. Ignore the boomer Murdoch press.

Can we all now agree that greenifying British energy is unbelievably important for both the cost of living and national security?

@Heccles94 I did it two weeks. We need to get folks to do a mass blocking session of Cleese, AND call him out face to face wherever and whenever he shows his face in public.

Conflict in the Middle East has once again shown that clean power is essential for energy security. That’s why we’re speeding up action, with solar panels to be fitted as standard on new homes and plug-in solar to be made available in shops within months. lbc.co.uk/article/miliba…

Anyone on a pension needs to worry about the Welfare bashing… the fake narratives… it is included in the Welfare numbers being bandied around and I am pretty sure you consider it your right having paid in all those years..

It’s quite unforgiving, that due to the way they behaved over the Covid vaccine it’s caused people to now be so untrusting of vaccines in general. Meningitis scares the shit out of me. I live in constant fear over things such as meningitis. I know people that have lost children from meningitis and it’s an awful virus that comes on suddenly, that has ordinary cold like symptoms. My daughter isn’t vaccinated against MenB because she was born before 2015. I remember trying to get it privately when it first came out, she was about 4. ( that’s another story) She’s had all childhood vaccines and we paid for the TB vaccine. I have such little faith in the NHS and pharmaceutical companies since Covid. I feel I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place, deciding if I should get my 13 year old vaccinated against MenB. Pre Covid I’d have been in line at the clinic with her. Now- 🤷‍♀️ I really do hate what they have done to our country, they have betrayed our trust so badly I fear we can’t ever come back from that.

“This morning I’ve been at Madina Mosque and joined in prayers with everyone for Eid,” says Green MP Hannah Spencer. Liberal white women are now actively promoting the most patriarchal, regressive, anti-feminist religion in history. Astonishing, really. 🤯

15 years ago I built Britain’s first electric car, the Nemesis - and a national network of chargers (The Electric Highway) for the electric cars that were coming. All we had back then was 3kW chargers, like a three pin plug and it took hours. But I knew that would change and I foresaw a time when we could charge an electric car in the time it takes at the petrol pump. Within ten years we had 300kW chargers and now, five more years on the Chinese are making MegaWatt class chargers that’s 1,000kW plus - and EV charging is possible in the same time it takes to fill a petrol car. Fantastic progress. The age of the internal combustion engine is over, it began to end 15 years ago. It will be fully over in another 15. thetimes.com/uk/transport/a…

@DaleVince If we hit net minus 100, it would make no difference to the planet or any weather systems. All it is doing is crippling our economy. It's making you richer though, I guess.

While Reform bang on about ’stupid net zero’ and do all they can to undermine the vital steps we need to take to mitigate the worst of climate outcomes - what do they say to this? Is it just the weather that causes record levels of flooding (drought and wildfires too)……and record costs to either repair or try to prevent. This is the other side of the equation, not hitting net zero has a very real cost - and it’s bigger than the cost of hitting it. Farage is a politician that will say anything for personal gain. He gave us Brexit and that turned out to be a pile of horseshite. Now he’s gunning for green energy, the cheapest, cleanest and safest form of energy we can make - not to mention the fastest. edie.net/defra-confirms…
