Without a doubt, the best Halftime Show I’ve ever seen. A true celebration of an American culture that few of us ever witness. I didn’t understand much of what they were saying, but I didn’t need to. They said it all without having to sing a word. It was intimate, rather than a spectacle; handheld cameras in the middle of people who were happy and joyful. Color and excitement everywhere. No sweeping stadium shots or reliance on shock and awe. Just us, you and me, in the middle of a party that we didn’t deserve to be invited to, but were anyway. Hospitality. True welcome. A reminder to the world that our nation *IS* more than white dudes wrapped in business suits, confederate flags, and Bible drag… we are much more. At least, we SHOULD be more than that… and the better part of us is.

People will probably overreact to this stat (if it holds). But in most of the QF games, it’s been simple — the better team won the game. They could move the whole CFP up a week to shorten the long layoff for teams, though.

This game is only "boring" if you don't appreciate good defense. Both defenses have been tremendous and you gotta appreciate that.

A newsy wrinkle from Bevacqua: As part of an MOU signed last spring, Notre Dame is assured of a CFP berth if it is ranked in the top 12 starting next year. If this year’s situation unfolds next year, the final at-large team (Miami) would have gotten bumped for No. 11 Notre Dame.

They started Notre Dame way too high.

A group of University of Miami supporters are flying a banner near the CFP hotel in Grapevine, TX today. The banner reads "H2H Matters. Miami in."

Thoughts?!? Texas is definitely out & same with Vandy

When are more ACC university presidents going to wake up to this problem

Just pretend it’s COVID and do what the Big Ten did
