If you're earning R20,000 per month in South Africa, you're in the top 5% of earners. Social media people lie about what a decent income is. Ignore them & enjoy your life.

@penuelist_ Rent for a 1bedroom is now R9k minimum all costs incl, across Gauteng On R20k you’re just getting by… On a global scale that salary is less than $1.5k Penuel as a voice for the people you should be championing for higher wages, not telling people to be content!

@Bavu08 @penuelist_ What he's saying is simple: live within your means. R20k can go a long way if your standards are based on your own reality and not on what you see on social media.

@penuelist_ Are you in the top 5% - yes Is it a decent income - no Try buying house, raising a family, saving having basic expenses (insurance, car, med aid etc) then see how far that takes you. It's only decent if you justify it with: "others have it worse" mentality but in this economy..

@supremeceaser @Mickzo You shouldn't know, just know that what you see with your eyes is not the whole story, I mean you only see visible light, have you seen wifi signals and yet you get connected...kinda like that way, you have to be in it to understand, but bottom line all people bayaloya.

Imagine buying a brand new car… only to believe it needs protection from evil spirits instead of good brakes, service , insurance and responsible driving. 😂

@Mickzo I will never buy a car knowing it comes from a coloured, Indian or black person. I once bought a car from them... it had problems galore. I bought a similar car from a white old lady... no witchcraft, no problems. Vokol.

@Mickzo I don't have a problem with people doing this. I just get confused when they still get insurance after this ritual. Kanti is this ritual not supposed to protect your car from everything?? Or they do something they don't truly believe in. I say pick one 🤷🏾‍♀️

@maboss_1 Both methods still require you to take action to start the car, so the effort is exactly the same. If he was trying to flex, he picked a pretty strange thing to flex about.

Moroka says that if your car starts with a key on the right-hand side, you need to further your studies. The only one of his cars that starts with a key on the right-hand side is his Land Cruiser. The rest are all push-to-start.

@Asabele1 @Sphinx_Mnguni @khal_haji @Thula_NX Not really,The only real difference between 93 and 95 is the octane rating. If your Polo isn't turbocharged and is designed for 93,then 95 adds no real benefit. But it's your car, your rules. Want to see a real difference?Use cheap engine oil instead, then come tell us how it went.

@Mdumaya @Sphinx_Mnguni @khal_haji @Thula_NX I’ve done 280k on polo using only 95, no problems, engine still performs like day1, used it long term both coastal & inland..my take is, older cars early 2ks do well on 93, newer 95

@khal_haji @Sphinx_Mnguni @Thula_NX Nothing really, no gain whatsoever, just a waste of money as theres no benefit. But turbo that kwid then 95 it is, I can assist

@Mdumaya @Sphinx_Mnguni @Thula_NX So what happens is I use 95 inland? Or on a kwid or our normal hatchbacks which are not high performance cars?

@Sphinx_Mnguni @khal_haji @Thula_NX True, but many cars in the informal sector have had their engines rebuilt 2–4 times.Repeated head skimming can raise compression above ori spec, making them prone to pinging on 93, especially at the coast. That's why many drivers prefer 95,it reduces knock and seems to last longer

@khal_haji @Thula_NX Not strong, just high in iso-octane, meant for engines with high compression engine like 2.0lc, turbo charged etc. Low-compression engines like 1.2/1.4/1.6 never reach that threshold, so 93 is enough. Fuel burn rate depends on engine efficiency, not octane rating
