@Saints9393 @RidingThePine21 Disagree. Seems there are 4 top prospects and provided Chicago views it the same, it has to be worth the deal because really any of the top 4 meet a real need for Chicago. Plus, going up requires one of 3 teams to agree. Everything should be on the table.

@RidingThePine21 Why stay there and take what’s left over? If Stenberg is their guy they need to package 4 with other picks and assets and move up. KD needs to start using some of these assets to get differnce makers - holding on to it is dumb as most won’t pan out.

Alright #Blackhawks fans how we feeling? Here's where I am now that the dust has started to clear. I'm fine staying at 4. Would I like Stenberg? Yes, but I won't mind Carson Carels either. He's a big physical defender that can contribute offensively. Think Brent Seabrook. That's something we don't have on the back end. The media seemingly believes Malhotra is going 3 regardless of stenberg being there. Either way we either get a stud for bedard or we add something we need with a big left shot D who takes the body. Thoughts?

Thinking about Levshunov. Thinking about the fact that this was practically his first NHL season. Thinking about the fact that the Hawks drafted him for his tools, something in which, if we bought into, we know would take time. Thinking about the fact this kids career has barely begun. Thinking about the fact that defence prospects take a little longer. I guess, in the end, this tells me... I'm not ready to give up on Arty.

@tarun_kalra @OviClapBomb You're suggesting the Sharks would have taken some package of picks for Celebrini? What kind of fantasy land is that? There is no indication that's true.

MORE IMPORTANT WTF IS ANTON A HEALTHY SCRATCH THIS IS SO FUCKED SWE have 3 lines preferable to Anton’s upside of dictating some percentage of games he plays Bruh.. it’s fine.. ‘04 draft is a failure.. I’m not going to debate it… you can say arty was consensus too defender That’s not true It would be.he gets the most 1 votes… marginally.. so 30% of experts Next closest at 15-20% But still.. he is firmly in the same exact fucking tier as 7 other defenders THATS NOT EVEN WHY THE DRAFT IS A FAILURE It fails cause we have up a 2’d round pick to move up 1 slot.. THEN DID IT AGAIN TO MOVE UP 3 SLOTS YOU FIND A KANTSEROV A LARDIS w/picks we just throwing away AND EVEN THATS FINE ‘23 is the draft we built this team Best draft ive ever seen Lardis has middle six upside and kantserov will be a staple Let’s go bro

@tarun_kalra @OviClapBomb He was the pretty consensus pick. He was the 3rd youngest player in college hockey his draft year, playing a good league, and had a pretty elite season. Who should they have taken instead? Sennecke was considered a reach at the time as is. Demidov's situation was kind of unknown.

We should federally tax Tokens at the Provider level. Not a lot. Less than 50c per million tokens. It will accomplish 4 things (at least ) 1. It will push the big AI players to optimize tokenization, caching , routing and localization Which will 2. Reduce energy usage. Saving them in energy costs more than what they paid in tax and reducing strain created by the growth in energy consumption Which will 3. Generate maybe 10 billion dollars a year to start, but over the next ten years could grow 30x to 100x Which will 4. Create a source of funding to pay down the federal debt or deploy, in response to the things AI brings that we don’t expect or don’t like At some point the models will pass it on to customers. Of course. That’s ok. Customers will have the ability to choose between providers. Or to do everything using open source models locally. Thoughts ?

@clayharbs82 With all due respect, Jaelan Phillips is not a major test, more of a pop quiz. With that being said- if he unable to handle business against Phillips- it's going to bad news when Bears go against elite pass rushers like Parsons, Hutchinson, etc.

Bears reportedly playing Panthers week. Here are my WAY too early thoughts: ▪️Bears LT vs. Jaelan Phillips. Phillips is the offseason headliner. If Braxton Jones is the Week 1 LT, he gets a major test immediately. ▪️Montez Sweat / Bears pass rush vs. Carolina’s tackle situation. Ekwonu recovering, Walker signed, Forsythe added, and Freeling drafted. ▪️Tetairoa McMillan vs. Bears secondary. McMillan had 70 catches, 1,014 yards, Offensive Rookie of the Year, they added Brazzell and Metchie. ▪️Run the ball panthers Run defense 123.3 rushing yards allowed/game wasn’t great gotta test that. #DaBears #Bears #ChicagoBears

My father is 83 years old and has studied US stocks for almost 52 years. He summarized some simple rules for beginners: 1. Price falls 5% → Hold 2. Price falls 15% → Buy 10% 3. Price falls 25% → Buy 25% 4. Price rises 5% → Continue holding 5. Price rises 15% → Continue holding 6. Price rises 25% → Sell 10% 7. Price rises 35% → Sell 20% 8. Price rises 45% → Sell 30% 9. Price rises 60% → Sell 40% 10. Price rises 100% → Sell everything Discipline + patience = stable long-term growth. (Save this later).

Sounds like Chase Reid will be going to MSU next year. This roster is absolutely loaded Just a few players to name Cayden Lindstrom, Cullen Potter, Shane Vanshaghi, Eric Nilson, Ryker Lee, Nikita Klepov, Tommy Bleyl, Jack Hextall, Mason West
Janson Duench@reporterJD

Barring an NHL team’s change of plans, Chase Reid is already on Michigan State campus and set to debut for the Spartans in the fall. “He’s coming to Michigan State.” saultstar.com/sports/chase-r…

@SpurAaron @RinksideGeneral He just played his age 20 season. The mental errors need to improve quickly but he's a big thick guy that can really skate. Probably never going to be a huge point producer but his learning curve was always going to take some time as it does for most defenseman.

I wonder what happened when another GM passed on Demidov because they needed size in their top 6. When Beckett Sennecke was asked about the Ducks drafting him, he said "they're obviously drafting big and I fit that role." His shocked face became a meme, but he was the right decision in hindsight. I also didn't think Levshunov was the right choice, but he was much closer to being a consensus top 4 pick in that draft that Sennecke was. I always wonder why nobody seems to bring that up.

@OviClapBomb What about when public rankings more often than not line up with what plays out in real life.. and a GM like KD who thinks he’s smarter than the rest reaches on players and consistently ends up with underwhelming results?

@IlliniStan22 @RidingThePine21 Hoping for improvement isn't hoping, its how most defenseman transitions go. Pick your favorite defenseman that isn't a smaller puck moving defenseman. This isn't new haha They are linked to a bunch of guys. We will see who they can actually get but they seem ready to try.

@Mdwst_College @RidingThePine21 Getting rid of a league best PK is bad. Murphy was excellent on the Oilers Frondell will be good, likely a 60 point guy Kantserov is an unknown for NHL translation Who will KD add? 4) Based purely on hope 3rd line is good, but they are needle movers

Are you suggesting that moving out a locker room cancer and one of the worst NHL contracts for a young number one goalie and a 1st round pick wasn't a big trade/move? Or that moving Jason Dickinson (both transactions) and Connor Murphy for a 1st round pick and two second round picks wasn't a big move? Or that acquiring Petr Mrázek for a 1st round pick wasn't a big move? Look. Sure Kyle hasn't traded for a "superstar" But to suggest his trading/making moves is lacking is just bat shit insane. He has one of the best trade track records in the game.
The Rinkside General@RinksideGeneral

One of the biggest differences between successful rebuilds and failed rebuilds is the ability to make important trades. The most famous one is Florida trading for Tkachuk. When Cutter Gauthier unexpectedly became available, Anaheim jumped in and made the trade happen. When Montreal realized they had a huge hole at RHD, they made the trade for Dobson happen (and they'll probably make a couple more moves this offseason). Buffalo is nowhere near their current position if they didn't fleece in the JJ Peterka deal. Even non-rebuilds have made a living off those moves (Carolina making the most of the Rantanen situation, Minnesota trading for Hughes, Colorado trading for two goalies and for Devon Toews and Kadri and several others, etc.) The biggest disconnect between Kyle Davidson and the #Blackhawks fanbase is that so far, he's *tried* to make big moves but has failed. Once he closes out a big deal, the fanbase's narrative will quickly change.

@IlliniStan22 @RidingThePine21 Downgrade because they traded Connor Murphy? Lol I think the plan to be better is pretty simple: 1) Full season of Frondell 2) Add Kantserov 3) Finally make a move for top 6 F 4) incremental improvements from Lev/Rinzel/Korch/Vlassic Lardis and Moore can float in middle 6.

@IlliniStan22 @RidingThePine21 Vezina caliber...first half of the season. The average age of the team after the TDL was like 24. It was the youngest in the NHL by a lot. It's not that hard to see the talent collecting. Frondell is going to be really good. This is the season finally to get a top 6 forward.

@Illinihockey3 @RidingThePine21 Is the team a playoff team with Hagel? They were rebuilding. Moore isn't a bum. For a team that should start improving next season, he will be a cheap middle 6 forward. How does that now have value? Lol

@RidingThePine21 Lmao Seth jones went on to anchor a Stanley cup championship team. And no trading guys for picks aren’t big moves. He turned Brandon Hagel into 2 bums, there’s no reason to think the players that come from the picks he acquired will be anything

@MrStealYourBoo1 @winslow9 @RidingThePine21 Making an aggressive move last year would have made no sense. They spent some money to fill spots instead and that was probably the right move at this time. This offseason? Different story. If a trade for a Jason Robertson or Knies is available, the foundation is there.

@IlliniStan22 @RidingThePine21 They played a lot of games as the youngest team in the NHL. For better or worse, they rolled with a lot of the kids. The expectation next year should be to still be playing meaningful hockey in February/March. Not hard to see what's building though.

@RidingThePine21 @_hawkeytime Is his round 1 drafting suspect? The hit rate in the NHL is not very good. Nazar was clearly a good pick. Rinzel is a good pick for late first rounder. Korchinski isn't great but that who draft isn't great. Moore is solid value. I'd say it's an above average record.

@_hawkeytime His free agency work sans Bertuzzi leaves alot to be desired. As does his development of Dmen. Korchinski and Levshunov. And his drafting in round one only, is suspect thus far. His strengths have been contract negotiations and trades. From my perspective.

I have to question Michigan State's hire of Pat Fitzgerald. You've got a head coach who found success at Northwestern through long term development that lead to success once every 2-3 seasons. In this modern era are they not just going to have their roster pillaged every offseason? Would that not undermine his entire approach? Fitzgerald is going to have to completely reinvent himself at Michigan State and to me that is just complete uncertainty. How are Spartans fans feeling?
