BREAKING: Six Flags is selling SEVEN of its theme parks for $331 million. The parks being sold are:
Valleyfair (Minneapolis, Minn.)
Worlds of Fun (Kansas City, Mo.)
Michigan's Adventure (Grand Rapids, Mich.)
Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston (Galveston, Texas)
Six Flags St. Louis (St. Louis, Mo.)
Six Flags Great Escape (Queensbury, N.Y.)
Six Flags La Ronde (Montreal, QC)
The parks are being sold to an entity called EPR Properties, to be run by the Enchanted Parks company.
@SixFlags says the money from the sale will be used to pay down debt. New company CEO John Reilly said in a statement:
"Consistent with our strategy, this divestiture enables us to concentrate our capital, leadership and operational focus on the properties that we believe generate the strongest returns and offer the greatest long-term upside. Since joining the Company, I have been clear that Six Flags' earnings power has been under-realized. This transaction will simplify our portfolio, strengthen our balance sheet and position us to execute with greater clarity and discipline. By focusing our resources on the parks that we believe have the highest growth potential, we expect to drive operating leverage, expand margins and accelerate our cash flow generation."
What does this mean if you bought a season pass that has privileges to all Six Flags parks nationwide? Here is what the company is saying:
"The parks will continue their regular operating schedules, and all season passes sold will be recognized through the 2026 operating season, including multi-park pass privileges at other parks within the Six Flags' portfolio."
I will have more updates on how this will impacts these parks as more news comes in. What do you think about the changes?

Dr. Riley Ransom: Trained at Mayo Clinic Before Integration (1915)
In 1915, Dr. Riley Ransom, a Black surgeon from Texas, was personally invited by Dr. William J. Mayo to train at the Mayo Clinic—approximately 50 years before the clinic formally opened to Black doctors in 1966. Ransom graduated valedictorian from Louisville National Medical College in 1908 and performed over 50,000 surgeries in his career. In 1918, he established Fort Worth's first hospital for African Americans—the Ethel Ransom Memorial Hospital, named after his late wife, Nurse Ethel Wilson Ransom. By 1940, it became one of only three Black-owned hospitals in America accredited by the American Medical Association. Despite training with the nation's best surgeons and building a cutting-edge accredited hospital, Ransom's name rarely appears in medical history textbooks. He died in 1962 at age 91.

Shoutout to y’all for supporting my last post.
Here’s a scene of Hattie McDaniel hours before her historic win talking with a Black maid about the importance of seeing yourself.
Like I said I’ve been fighting to get my play on more stages. Especially in Atlanta, Alabama, NYC and LA.
Tag your local theaters.
I’m fighting to get it there!
