A guy in Alberta is selling tractors with zero computers. No software. No sensors. Just a diesel engine you can fix with a wrench. 400 American farmers tried to buy one after a single interview. Sometimes the moat isn't more features. It's less.

Signed divorce papers today. It was a 26 year relationship, 23 years of marriage, 9 years of separation. Feeling a little bit sad that we couldn't work things out but we both agree it's for the best. All in all just feels strange that this chapter of my life is officially over.

Usenet was essentially unstaffed. No one was paid to moderate it, so no one really did. One of the drawbacks of commercialization of the Internet is that people started building walled gardens within it which were ad-funded, thus subject to advertiser boycott pressure to censor viewpoints that advertisers disagreed with. That funded the moderation staff and tools, which were then exploited by politicians.

CBC in a rare and unprovoked display of conscience just suplexed Carney and his "Wealth Fund Pitch" into reality! That's how bad the gaslighting has become... When your allies go: "𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗼!!!" It's only been 1 year Carney, Trudeau lied for 10 yrs, keep up! 🤣🤣🤣

70,000 calls. That’s how many Canadians reached out to 9-8-8 and mentioned psychiatric MAiD. Even the national suicide line won’t refer them for assisted death. Why? Because they’re there to prevent suicide…not facilitate it. So why is government policy moving the other way? #MAiD #MentalHealth #SuicidePrevention #CdnPoli

Anthony Fauci lied to the American people about COVID and engaged in the worst cover-up in modern medical history. Do you want to see the DOJ prosecute Dr. Fauci?

@_Billy_Beck_ If you pick up, block or in any way interact with these calls it tells the algorythm to interact with you more. The best thing to do is to never pick up any number you don't recognize. I know that's not as satisfying however.

*flips chair around* youth pastor voice Actually one man pressed the ultimate blue button for all of us and abolished blue buttons as the ultimate sacrifice, and if anyone claims it's necessary to press a blue button now they are deceiving you

The most eloquent greeting I have received in this life was from a Spaniard of some noble royal lineage. When he learned that I was Coast Salish, he took my right hand in his, bowed his head and kissed it and said "My name is Michael Gilson de Lemos. It was my family who financed Columbus. We had no idea it would turn out this way. I am deeply sorry. I am your servant"

@LandsknechtPike Queen Isabella _did_ fund the most significant event of the last 1,000 years, Columbus's discovery of America in 1492.

Queen Isabella of Castile is probably the reason why the queen became the most powerful piece in chess in 15th century. Initially it only moved one piece diagonally. Since the modified rules appeared in Spain, it is speculated the change was inspired by the reconquista queen.

My people, the Cowichan Coast Salish believe in "little people" too. In our mythology, they are roundly considered bad news and not to be talked to, or talked about much except as a warning. They are always up to no good so far as humans are concerned. Just an FYI from a culture with 10,000 years of wisdom and longevity under it's belt.

Have we considered that fae glamours may not work on AIs and that they are, you know, possibly trying to tell us something here?

@walterkirn Cowichan Coast Salish people have "little people" like this in our mythology too. But uniformly, in our stories, they are bad news. Connected to wrong-doing in how they interact with us... to be avoided and even avoided talking about.

I took a DNA test a couple of years ago. I am adopted and my birthmother committed suicide in 1975 but she was a registered full blooded Cowichan Coast Salish woman. My DNA results tell me that my father was full blooded Irish and I have close relatives in County Cork. Despite being more Irish than Cowichan, I don't think they would wecolme me home the way my Biological family in Cowichan of some 300 people did. I think the Irish in Ireland would think me a ridiculous poser to call myself Irish when I don't and have never lived there, don't know the culture and don't speak the Irish language. Although I did receive kind words from the Bobby Sands Foundation when I emailed them about language revitlatization efforts.

@Nick_Davidov I think Elon is not so much reacting to people making a mockery of him, but rather that he lives to get up in the morning and make people see that they were wrong when they doubted what he was doing.

Elon’s whole career is basically a revenge arc. Pushed out of PayPal? Ok, I’ll do rockets. Wanted to grow veggies on Mars, not for profit, just to make humanity care about space again. Goes to buy Russian rockets. Russians mock him. Ok, I’ll make my own rockets. Then Apollo astronauts mock commercial space. Ok, I’ll make commercial space real. Auto industry mocks Tesla. Ok, I’ll become CEO and make the most valuable car company. Wants to start a nonprofit for safe AI. Got pushed out / sidelined / mocked. Ok, I’ll make my own AI lab. California mocked and blocked him? Ok, I’ll move to Texas and make Star City. Democrats mock him. Ok, I’ll help Trump win. Maybe the fastest way to change something on Earth is to find people in charge of it and encourage them to mock Elon?
