@DewsNewz So the normal person filming this video used CGI to put the astronauts in the video? Why would they show up in this video if this isn’t the official nasa video and was filmed by a bystander, and they actually aren’t there? Man the person filming must be crazy good at CGI.

You would travel 50 miles in 7 seconds at 25,000 mph. So at 300,000 ft above the earth the capsule would have 7 seconds before it hits the earth. So it goes from 25,000 mph to 350 mph in less than 7 seconds with just the fro took with the air to slow it down. This is what caused the 5000 degree heat on the outside of its capsule. The parachute deploys at 8:03 with 8:07 splashdown. So from 25,000 mph and 300,000 ft above the earth it has 14 total seconds to heat to 5000 degrees and then be cool enough to produce no steam. Bull. Fucking. Shit.

@OwenBenjamin @Sunflower8649 Which slowed it down. The capsule hit the atmosphere at 25,000 mph but was only going 350 mph when the drogue chutes deployed. 350 mph is slower than an airplane and not much friction is produced at that speed, in very cold air.

At those speeds, a human would be crushed instantly. Yet somehow these astronauts are just “floating” around like it’s nothing, no extreme G-force protection, no real effects, just wires and zero resistance.
