President Trump and First Lady Trump's vision for foster care is one family for every one child. Currently, there are two children for every available foster family because the Biden Administration was excluding an entire class of foster families due to their religious beliefs.
This is unacceptable, and we are changing that.

Have you even watched live? The capsule was at around 200-300mph when the drogue parachutes were deployed.

Artemis I heat shield cracked so they did this for II.
I invite David and others to take a year of physics at your local community college before coming to discuss on X.

The procedure has to be prepared for anything, including instances where the capsule lands too far from the support ships for rescue to get there quickly. Helicopters can be overhead fast. That being said, I could see there being a Plan A (“They’re right there! Send the boats!”) and a Plan B (“Whoops, off target. Send the helos, and the boats will catch up.”)

@OwenBenjamin @Sunflower8649 Why was a helicopter used to "rescue" the astronauts from the dingy when there was a MASSIVE ship there and there were several boats in the water, including the boat the astronauts entered from the capsule?
Why weren't the rescue boat operators also rescued by helicopter?

@OwenBenjamin @reade_stev52333 As it goes down, air is more dense → more drag, rapid deceleration, the drag converts kinetic energy into heat in the air, not just on the capsule. It's physics.

@OwenBenjamin 15-20min of continuous cooling. Even a small drop in speed massively reduces heating and the ablative shield also burned off and carried heat away

I’d think after 10 days in space, reentry with the heat shield holding and a parachute splashdown, the easier move for the astronauts would be the boat to the ship — not getting hoisted up on a rope under a helicopter. Anyone know why?

H-2B is a seasonal visa for crab pickers, oyster shuckers, forestry workers, horse racing industry staff, resort workers, etc.
Mostly relevant to places like the Outer Banks, Eastern Shore, and Alaska where much of the labor demand is seasonal and far outstrips the local year-around population.
You could make the case that this is a good reason to have seasonal guest workers, and no reasonable person would ever complain about Dutch or English youth working as lifeguards or horse groomers, but there are too many soft indolent hands in this country—we need to find ways to compel the idle to work.

I've been to towns with 200 residents in the middle of nowhere where ppl are not college educated and you can't find a single American to clean a room. Same in big cities, Marriott can't fill positions with Americans

@GraduatedBen I work in one of these industries. They prefer H-2Bs because they are labor that isn't American.
Foreigners make 3-4x what they can at home, and if they get a bad mark, they can't come back.
They'll put up with anything.
These jobs used to be all college kids.

Maybe if you DoorDash 100% of baby gear and clothes instead of just getting it for free from other people. We were gifted like 80% of our baby gear and regifted everything to new parents afterwards.
