A new EU Humanitarian Air Bridge ✈️ has arrived to Kabul bringing 36 tonnes of medicines and nutritional items to #Afghanistan 📦. I thank our partners @UNFPA, @premiereurgence,  @MedairInt, @IMC_Worldwide and
@RESCUEorg for responding together to this humanitarian emergency.

In #Afghanistan, prices of basic food items have spiked: ⬆️ A 5 litre bottle of oil has doubled from $5 to $10. ⬆️ A 20 kg bag of rice has gone from $25 to $37. ⬆️ A bag of flour was $18 and is now almost $28. Nearly 50% of Afghans face serious food insecurity.

Even when refugees are qualified & talented in a certain area, they often lack the opportunities to find a job in their sector. Refugee labour mobility means that they can get the chance to work in a new country. It can mean hope for a better future for them and their families.

Shelter reconstruction is underway in Camp5 after the devastating fire in Bangladesh. A temporaty health point and latrines are also in place. Strong teamwork by Rohingya volunteers, camp authorities & humanitarian organizations is resulting in fast and effective action.
