Me knowing for the last 14 years that central bank treasury policy would lead us to a bubble so big that when QE finally stopped a liquidity crisis and asset collapse would occur. #vindication

Bag sealers exist. As do people who are chasing social media clout. Open bag. Dump out most of the chips. Reseal bag. Make outrage video and post it. Outrage ensues and so does the engagement. The above scenario is just as likely as Frito-Lay "ripping people off" with intention. That's just bad for business and therefore unlikely. Other possibilities include a production line breakdown or error in which some number of bags got through without being properly filled. Entirely plausible.

OTTAWA — A new poll has found that 89% of Canadians believe Donald Trump is to blame for Canada’s struggling economy, citing everything from rising grocery prices to housing costs and general financial anxiety. How, exactly, Trump is responsible remains unclear. “It’s complicated,” one respondent said. “But every time something feels off, he seems like a safe bet.” The survey found strong consensus across demographics, with many Canadians expressing confidence in their conclusion despite being unable to point to a direct connection. “I don’t follow all the details,” another participant admitted. “But it just feels related.” Meanwhile, when asked about their own biggest financial concerns, respondents pointed to inflation, taxes, housing affordability, and stagnant wages—issues largely tied to domestic policy. Analysts say the results reflect a growing tendency to assign complex problems to simple, external causes. “It’s easier,” one observer noted. “You don’t have to rethink anything—you just have to agree on who to blame.” Because when the economy gets harder to explain, the explanation doesn’t get more accurate— It just gets louder.

Ridiculous. 4th-largest oil reserves in the world. $2.09 per litre at the pumps. It's time to build pipelines, refineries and an energy policy that puts Canada, and Canadians, first! 🇨🇦

@Concern70732755 IMHO he's a disingenuous expert charlatan. Unless he explains how they plan to get around the 7/50 rule. They require either Ontario, Quebec + 6 other provinces or both + 5 provinces to get the needed amendment passed. They've publicly attacked both from the start.

Good news for your local brewery: we’re extending alcohol excise tax relief for 2 more years. That’ll save Canadian breweries up to $90,000 in taxes this year.

@MelissaLMRogers I support Carney, but I agree that prices are higher than before. However, this is not caused by Carney. It comes from Trump's tariffs.

Canadians are just not having babies anymore at the levels needed to sustain our population. That means population growth increasingly depends on immigration. But this raises an important question about what is a sustainable long-term solution? Is it: 1. Continuing to rely primarily on immigration to sustain population growth? 2. Addressing the economic and social pressures that make it difficult for young Canadians to start families? 3. Or some combination of both? This is a conversation worth having openly. What do you think Canada’s path forward should be? ctvnews.ca/canada/article…

MacKinnon himself lifted Niko Mikkola’s stick to his own face - and then won an Oscar for an act. And Canadian referees called a penalty. Followed by MacKinnon scoring a winner. What a shameful day for Hockey. 😢
