Russia is in big trouble with its economy. A $100 billion budget deficit cannot be plugged by a short war in the Middle East. So far, they have managed to offset only about 10% of it, no more. The war in Iran strengthens Russia, exhausts the United States, and depletes Europe’s energy reserves. It creates pressure – where will China stand? In such a situation, it is difficult to be just a mediator. This is a serious energy challenge for everyone. Therefore, the war in Iran will lead to broader aggression not only in the Middle East. It will also constrain Ukraine’s access to air defense systems. From an interview with the "United News" telethon (5/5).
