@MeganGwin @NMulhaire @GregHands Thanks Megan. Funding is not an issue. We had hoped to be able to keep Holy Cross open - but have heard today that the school will shut on polling day. We always try and work with schools but concerns around Covid have made that difficult this year and safety is paramount.

@LBHF shame on you for using Holy Cross Catholic Primary School as a polling station for the #mayorelection Haven’t our children missed enough school ? @GregHands ??

@LBHF @NMulhaire @GregHands Yes but apparently there isn’t funding to cover the fencing .... there are so many churches and other venues nearby.... seriously, can’t people just walk slightly further to vote rather than stop school for 600 pupils ?

@NMulhaire @GregHands Hello Nicola. The school is staying open – we’re using the nursery, not the main building. We’re putting in fencing to make sure that children/voters are kept apart and we have marshals as well to try to assist with safeguarding. Hope that reassures you.
