@united You could have let me on the flight. Period. Nowhere does it say that I couldn't have thrown that bag away and gotten on that flight. This is entirely UNITED's fault.

@united Also, you need to adjust your bag checking system. The CTA to start checking in looks like an error message. Also United's fault.

@MeganJZander Thank you for providing us with this detail, Megan. The actual bags must be checked at least 45 minutes before departure for domestic flights and 60 minutes before departure for international flights. ^CM

@united I am 100% confident that if you're able to look into my "late bag check" and security camera footage, you'll see us standing there, right on time, trying to figure out the machine.

@united The attendant wouldn't let me leave the bag and get on the flight (which didn't depart for 40 min). He argued with me when I showed him that they didn't start boarding for another 6 minutes. He then loudly explained to other attendants (and passengers) near that we were late.

@united You had no available flights for 24 hours and I had to be back in town the next morning. You would not refund our tickets so I lost $360 (special services put in a "request"). Then I had to spend $230 on a rental car and we drove all night to get me home.

@united We were standing right there when the "timer" ran out.
