Just been processing the rollercoaster of a year 2025 has been and wanted to share my journey as a travel photographer. I remember having this seed of a dream ever since I was 8 y/o watching TLC shows with a hunger to experience the same. Grateful for how far I've come.

I watched a woman at a dinner party in South Mumbai spend twenty minutes explaining why her bag wasn't Hermès. Not apologizing for it. Not defending a budget choice. Explaining. She talked about the artisan workshop in West Bengal. The waiting list she'd been on. The traditional weaving technique most people had never heard of. The sustainability practices. The fact that only people "in the know" would recognize the brand. She spent more time talking about why she didn't buy the Birkin than most people spend talking about why they did.And everyone at the table was riveted. That's when it hit me: the luxury game has completely flipped. The flex isn't what you can afford anymore. It's what you understand. The logo—the very thing luxury brands spent billions building equity in—has become embarrassing to the people who can actually afford it. And that’s what dominates the new luxury: consumers are collecting expertise, not objects. The brand that gives them the most to know—wins the loyalty that economic capital alone can’t buy.
