One of the most remarkable discoveries from Dholavira, Gujarat, is this monumental Signboard, the largest known inscription from the Indus-Saraswati Civilisation and 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝’𝐬 𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭-𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝. Comprising 10 large signs/letters made of Gypsum (each sign being appx. 36 cm tall) and the entire inscription stretching nearly 3 metres in length. The site, located on the arid island of Khadir in Gujarat, was extensively excavated by the @ASIGoI over 13 field seasons from 1989 to 2005, unveiling indigenous urban sophistication in ancient Bharat. From advanced water engineering to public inscriptions, Dholavira continues to reveal the remarkable capabilities of the Indus-Saraswati people, a legacy deeply rooted in the cultural and civilisational heritage of Bharat. #IndusSaraswatiCivilisation #Dholavira #CivilisationalContinuity #BharatLivingCivilisation

@MehulTwts @paraschopra how is it effort wasted. You learned that its doesnt replicate. That in itself is material for a research paper

The open secret of academic research is that most findings don’t replicate. You take a paper, get excited, try to replicate it and it just fails. Even if the paper has code, you change a hyper parameter or a dataset and it fails. Paper’s claims sit on a razor-thin edge. All this because negative findings don’t get published as easily, so the incentive to show something positive is strong (especially if career growth depends on it).

India has fixed airports, highways, IT, metros, railways, telecom & banking. Yet outside our homes: potholes, garbage, broken drains & encroached footpaths. Worldmark at Delhi's Aerocity shows what's possible. Privatise municipalities. That's India's real last-mile reform.

just sent my first prompt to Fable 5 > it instantly routed the task to Opus 4.8 > which spawned Sonnet 5 sub agents > that burned 30% of my weekly limit > and handed me slop this thing used to build full open words and refactor entire codebases in one shot WHAT DID YOU DO ANTHROPIC

You're already sitting on the experiments. ARIA turns them into the next model. It works on mobile, too. 😉 Public preview is live now. Open any W&B project, hit the agent icon, and ask ARIA something real. More info below! utm.io/uq0Lc

Introducing CoreWeave ARIA, the first AI research agent that runs autoresearch in your W&B dashboard. It reads your runs, finds what's working, and launches the next experiment itself. See it on @karpathy's nanochat, proposing configs and launching real training runs. A 15-year-old dream has come true today. I started a PhD with the dream of creating a system that chants any Sanskrit shloka perfectly. And here I am opening sourcing 𝐕𝐚𝐠𝐝𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐮 - 𝐀 𝐯ṛ𝐭𝐭𝐚 (𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫) 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 ś𝐥𝐨𝐤𝐚-𝐭𝐨-𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭-𝐭𝐨-𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐡 (TTS) 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐤𝐫𝐢𝐭. This is the world's first vrutta-aware, open-source TTS for Sanskrit Chanting.

Indian parents are facing a massive existential crisis because Gen Z refuses to suffer for no logical reason. It is deeply offensive to our culture that a 24 year old will order groceries on Blinkit instead of spending 45 minutes inhaling road dust and fighting a vendor to save ₹12 on tomatoes. How dare they value their time over unnecessary trauma? The entire Indian parenting model is built on optimizing for struggle: “We sacrificed our whole lives so you could have a comfortable future.” "Great, I will take an Uber instead of changing three crowded buses." "NO. You must suffer exactly like I did in 1995!" They want you to be a highly efficient modern professional earning top tier money, yet also spend your Sunday manually squeezing lemons on a street cart to prove you are still grounded. The same dad giving a 30 minute lecture on middle class struggle is tracking his own Zepto delivery on his smartphone. Parents, you won. You upgraded the country so your kids wouldn’t have to fight for basic daily survival. Stop romanticizing poverty level struggles and let them live in the economy you built for them.

@gareebscientist I don't think so. If Indian giants can't partner with Indian players, how can we build a self-reliant economy?

@pravesh Whole thing felt like a parody. And it got crazier by every minute. Also, the whole media setup was staged by Trump and Elon to mock Zelensky.

Spring has disappeared from South Asia. Soon we're going to suffer crop failures, famine, and mass migrations due to lack of water and intolerable heat. Our political leaders in the region are clueless, and our societies are ill-informed and unprepared, including psychologically.
Peter Dynes@PGDynes

Heat waves are hitting India early, with a 38°C forecast already, and it is still only February! Climate change is driving an exponential rise in extreme heat exposure worldwide. Heat-related deaths for over-65s are up 85% from 2004—an incredible rise.
