@solassefa You can't compare novels with Thinking Fast and Slow. That book is a must-read for anyone who does research, or for anyone who wants to think and decide better. It's just difficult to read because it's written like a scientific article.

@Mekdesmt Thinking fast and slow is a must read. The rest, you can take your time. Daniel also authored other related books about cognition I strongly recommend.

@Helina_GY I feel like his books all sound the same. I read Emegua and liked it a lot. I started Sebez and thought it should have been a blog post or something, so I never finished it.

@Tizitawa21 @solassefa It made me a better decision-maker in some aspects. I remember this book when I am tempted to buy a piece of clothing on sale at 50% off and still feel it's expensive, and I wonder whether I'd buy it if it didn't have the discount, at the same final price.

@MimiTessema @Helina_GY I agree he's not a literary genius and maybe not the best storyteller, but I liked the messages he tried to convey and his way of looking at things in Alemenor. We had him at our book club, and he said he also agreed on the book not being a piece of great literature.

@Helina_GY @Mekdesmt Thank you for the recommendation. Esti I’ll give it a try one day. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if as an author he overcame such a writing deficit. We screamed for editors or someone to stop whoever published አለመኖር 🤷🏾‍♀️ . It was really - really unacceptable quality.

@Mekdesmt @MimiTessema I can agree on አለመኖር ÷ I would not have the same excitement about it as the first time around reading it. But I can tell you, አለማወቅ is much much better and actually a good book in many ways (story flow, the narrative, charater building and so forth...

@nafkotaschenaki My friends and I every year since undergrad until I left the country 🥹 Women's 5k was so much fun. We could act however we wanted without feeling judged.

@MimiTessema I read his first book when it was released and loved it so much that I reread it within the same week. But, when I remember reading Dertogada and loving it years ago, I'm not sure if I'd enjoy Dawit's books now. The kind of books I like is always evolving
