There’s a very teachable moment for children in this Djokovic saga around how the more lies you tell the more difficult it is to keep them straight, but you might have to leave out the part at the end where he gets a huge trophy and millions of dollars.

@AnnastaciaMP The decision concerns access (through MBS) and indemnity, not safety - the medical (safety) advice has not changed. See link in previous reply. This is about choice - on the basis of understanding risks vs benefits, as an individual (with a right to autonomy). #InformedConsent

Let me be clear: there has been no National Cabinet decision about providing AstraZeneca to people under 40. This is not the time to risk the safety of our young Australians.

The guidelines we’re following from the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) and the Australian Medical Association are clear. Even the UK Government won’t allow their under 40s to get the AstraZeneca vaccine. Please follow the health advice.

Hey Melbourne, really sorry you’ve gone into lockdown. But with this being a big weekend for celebration spare a thought for the restaurants who’ve spent a fortune on food. So if you can, order takeaway from your favourite place to help them out even if dinner may be only for two

Treat your mask like underwear! 1. Only touch it when you’re putting it on and taking it off (and do it from the sides!); 2. Make sure you cover all your bits; 3. Change it everyday (or if you ‘might’ have farted). #MaskUpMelbourne

I live right next to a newly locked-down suburb in Melbourne. I have canceled all plans for my 50th birthday. I’ll lock down again if asked. Why? Cos when I left London in March, the UK had 140 deaths. They now have over 40,000. I’d rather be safe.

PM #covid19 presser: CMO says protests with large groups of strangers can't be contact traced easily and hence are one of the highest risk events. "AHPPC pleaded with public not to attend the events. You cannot make them safe." #auspol

@schlutes @mbismark @erwinloh @alexandraphelan @fionalander Wow, I think it’s harder to do it that way round! Well done. Funny how a lot of us gravitated to psych at some stage. I did med because I wanted to do psych, but changed my mind when I rotated through as a student. Enjoyed studying it but realized it wasn’t good for me!

If so, then a triumph for States & Territories who’ve been focussed on COVID-19 eradication. Not the stress test you’d have wanted though especially for Aboriginal communities. Pandemics are never just about biology. They’re about how we live with each other. #blacklivesmatter

Legislative requirements vary across Australian jurisdictions, but advance care directives can also be made at common law. As with a Will, seek advice to ensure your wishes will be respected when you can no longer speak for yourself. youtu.be/fF4gEd5Xox8
