And this is one player I think we really need especially with the emergence of Skelly as a midfielder which means we don't have to spend significant money on a new midfielder.
Mateus Fernandes for around £45-£50m will be good business especially considering his age and experience in the league.

Last night at the Etihad reminded everyone that one result doesn’t erase a whole season of work. Arteta’s side has led the league in progressive carries from midfield for months because the new faces slotted straight into the structure. Zubimendi and Gyokeres didn’t just add numbers, they unlocked patterns we didn’t have last year. That’s the foundation the trophy will be built on. 🔴⚪️
