@DemonEvilMuscle @ITRWrestling_ So, you like watching more than an hour of commercials and another hour of promos and replays because it supposedly tells a story?!
If nothing else, I’m sick of being told repeatedly how it’s all just sports entertainment.

See, that’s the problem. AEW has not. Hear me out. Take away the flashy high spots. false finishes. Crazy finishers. What do you have? Not much really. I’m the type of person that likes seeing great matches that lead to something. And I don’t want to hear. “who cares, it was an awesome match“. For me, it needs to lead to something. There needs to be a payoff. And right now, I’m not getting that in AEW.
English

@trentpd @dannykanell So, you haven’t reached the age where bitching about it on social media isn’t flapping your gums?!?
English

I’ve reached the age where watching grown ass men bitch endlessly about kids playing college football just appear sad and tired. Who gives a damn? The people in charge will do whatever they want no matter how many shows people like you go on and flap your gums. None of this shit even matters
English

@dannykanell I am against it for one simple reason.
How can fans be expected to follow their teams IN PERSON for all these games?
Only the 1% of the 1% can travel that much and spend that much on such short notice.
English

@NatesNeverLate2 @dannykanell I make zero off of scansion and I’m got at minimum 16.
English

@brightball @dannykanell Sorry, but that is just moronic. The fact that Indiana not only won, but decimated Bama makes your point laughable at best.
English

@dannykanell 4. Realize that there are not enough top tier OL/DL to go around and that without them teams aren’t playing in the same weight class. Any given year 1-3 teams have the talent at the LOS to have a chance so you’re campaigning for 20 participation trophies.
English

@rajmuker I quit when I watched two weeks, six+ hours, of programming and there wasn’t 57 minutes of actual in ring wrestling.
The most I’ve even seen was almost an hour in a three hour show.

I’m just curious… why did YOU stop watching WWE?
6 years ago, Raw was pulling around 1.9M–2M viewers in the USA alone, while SmackDown was doing 2.2M–2.3M weekly.
Now in 2026, Raw is barely doing around 2M worldwide, which means only about 1.1M–1.2M from the USA. SmackDown has dropped to around 900K–1.2M.
Both Raw and SmackDown have lost nearly 1 million viewers in just 6 years.
So what was YOUR reason for stopping watching WWE?
I’m genuinely curious.

@dannykanell I think he was wrong in including the CFP as part of the problem. It’s 99% the problem of ESPN. Both in front and behind the camera!

@jhnhrris @csATLdawg @BudElliott3 16 would be better. Let the top ranked have home games the first two rounds. The byes have proven detrimental to the higher ranked 7 of the 8 games so far.
English

Bud doesn't think G6 should even be in the same division as the P4 - He found no joy in the JMU-Oregon game this year
24 is asinine especially with how people already complain about the number of blowouts in the CFP
I think 12 is the perfect number - Just need to condense the schedule to give the Bye more meaning
Top 4 earn Byes - Next 4 earn home games - Last 4 earn spot

For a lot of programs, 9-3 or 8-4 is not mediocrity. It is a top-quintile outcome. It is a season fans remember. It is a season that gets a coach an extension, wakes up donors, helps recruiting, and makes people believe the program is moving.
In the old bowl ecosystem, those seasons had somewhere to go.
The Citrus Bowl, Gator Bowl, Holiday Bowl, Alamo Bowl, Sun Bowl, Liberty Bowl, Outback Bowl, Peach Bowl, Music City Bowl, Las Vegas Bowl, Pinstripe Bowl, and a bunch of others could mean different things to different programs. They were not all equal, and they were not all national-title-adjacent. But they gave teams a postseason reward that fit the scale of what that program had accomplished.
That is what the playoff era damaged.
The sport did not merely create a better championship mechanism. It centralized almost all postseason meaning into one event. ESPN, as the CFP’s exclusive rights holder, helped build and promote that hierarchy. ESPN and the CFP extended their exclusive relationship through the 2031-32 season, including rights to the playoff games, selection show, weekly rankings shows, and related programming. That is not just broadcasting the sport. That is defining the sport’s value system.
So when people say, “Why is Team 19 making the playoff better than Team 19 going to the Citrus Bowl?” the answer is: because there was a time when the Citrus Bowl carried real status. So did a lot of other bowls, depending on the program. But the sport spent a decade telling everyone that anything outside the CFP is meaningless. The meaning moved.
And once the meaning moves, the access point has to move with it.

@BudElliott3 It never should’ve been seen as a success. If you’re not playing for a title it’s a meaningless exhibition game that players caught onto years ago and started opting out of. Making every bowl game have playoff ramifications fixes this issue.
English

@JlukestoneLuke @BudElliott3 It’s not the CFP that ruins that, it’s ESPN.
English

@BudElliott3 This is basically the encapsulation of why CFB was better pre playoff. I still believe this, BTW. I’m a UVA fan, I harbor no illusions that were a national contender. I want to beat VT and UNC, contend for the ACC now and then, and go to bowl games.

@EndWokeness The first historically correct fact she utters will be her first!

@esglaude @Realrclark25 Dumbest thing I’ve seen online is quite some time!!
English

@RealJamesWoods @keleigh1959 COMPLETELY fixable if people are arrested and serve MAX sentences!!!
English

@Dman4Life21 @uscfan981 Ummmm, you don’t know anything about wrestling then.
He killed the Sting buildup, the finger of death, killing TNA (just watch any AJ Styles interview), he destroyed multiple storylines (including the NWO beginning) in WCW for years.
English

@stanf145 @JDunlap1974 No too… unless you’re including yourself in the stupidity list.
English

@nolife_mike @uscfan981 He went almost a full year without saying a word.
NOTHING like that ever done in wrestling.
English

@uscfan981 True. I always loathed Crow Sting because it was such an unoriginal gimmick.
English

@Noneofyour40191 @bostonherald I predict this post will age like milk left in the heat!!
English

@bostonherald Being outraised don't mean 💩 money can't unlame a trash candidate. Americans are voting out all the maga trash in the midterms
English

Gov. Healey’s campaign team is being outraised by GOP candidate Mike Minogue, saying the billionaire gave millions to his campaign. Excluding self-funding, Minogue still outraised Healey by $1M. bostonherald.com/2026/05/09/hea…
English

@stanf145 @JDunlap1974 What does Bush, Obama and Biden have to do with it?!!
English

@JDunlap1974 Tucker admits his mistake following the blood thirsty neocons and is sincere in his regrets.
I’m in the same boat.
Voting for Trump and trusting his
Hasbara was a mistake ‼️
