@arcticawe @Techjunkie_Aman For me, it actually made my browser (chromium based) substantially faster to load pages. Pages that took seconds to load went down to just a few ms. A great example would be discord (both, the app and browser). It by itself got so much faster even before their optimisations.

@Techjunkie_Aman While I’m sure the difference is measurable, it’s minor and was not noticeable to me. Meanwhile a lot of 3rd-party stuff requires extra work to function on CachyOS (or Arch for that matter). All in all it broke more than it fixed compared a Ubuntu or Fedora based distro. YMMV

@Techjunkie_Aman And I CAN FCKING FEEL THAT! Just for fun, i compiled chromium from source, thing that usually takes roughly 1.5h, took just about 30-40 minutes. ontop of that, CPU Heavy games like Minecraft has such a stability improvement

@DesiCodqs @iyoushetwt Last time i had to do something sketchy like that on linux was in 2016 lmao. Everything in terms of drivers (unless your name is nvidia or use absurdly new hardware) works out of the box
