It’s with a heavy heart to announce that founder and editor Kelly Boyker Guillemette has passed away. Her passion for words was the scaffold that held Menacing Hedge up. She was a kind, selfless, beautiful person. Our thoughts go to her husband Gio and her family. RIP. X

@MenacingHedge As a contributor in a previous issue, I want to say thank you. Menacing Hedge homed one of my most personal pieces, and I will always be thankful for that. I wish the best for you all during these difficult times 💔

It’s now confirmed that our Summer/Fall edition will be our last. Menacing Hedge is closing its doors on all submissions effective of today. Having lost our guiding light, and the heart of the magazine, Kelly, that this is our farewell edition.

@Buffalo_Journal Nothing official that I’ve been told. If anyone wishes to pay tribute to Kelly in anyway, then obviously do. If it’s something you can document, then tag us in and we’ll retweet.

@MenacingHedge Are there any talks to have a tribute reading for Kelly in the future?
