In any other country, Deepak Kumar would have been awarded by the govt and the Police. For Standing by an elderly Muslim Shop keeper, Mohammad Deepak received death threat and a 5 Lakh bounty by Hindu Raksha Dal's Uttarakhand Chief Lalit Sharma. Instead of protecting him, The court refuses to quash FIR against him and passes gag order restraining him from posting on Social Media.

🚨 Guindy Children's Park is closed due to avian flu. A number of painted storks & grey herons in the aviary within the park have died. Samples sent to NIHSAD in Bhopal returned positive for H5A1 virus, said officials. @THChennai

Journalists were taught to cover a story by asking: who, what, when, where—and why. Interesting how “who” keeps disappearing when the story involves a certain actor. That’s not a lapse. It’s a deliberate editorial choice to keep headlines vague, misleading, and stripped of accountability. In other words: complicity.

For those who don’t know: Hind Rajab, a 5-year-old Palestinian girl, was trapped in a car during the Gaza conflict. She was killed, and the vehicle she was in was reportedly hit by 300+ bullets. -Hind’s cousin, 15-year-old Layan Hamada, made an urgent call to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), stating that they were being targeted. A few seconds later, gunshots were heard, and Layan’s screaming abruptly stopped. -Hind was alive, and she stayed on the call with emergency services, pleading for help for hours. -The paramedics sent to rescue her were killed. -The decomposing bodies of Hind, Layan, and their family members were discovered many days later. -Her story became a global symbol of civilian suffering in war. -The Voice of Hind Rajab documents her story. It has been nominated for an Oscar for Best International Feature Film. In India, the Central Board of Film Certification censored the film. The reason cited was that it could affect India–Israel relations. (1)

Why? Is breaking fast on a boat illegal? Simple question. A devout Muslim Ustaad Bismillah Khan, recipient of Bharat Ratna in 2001, was profoundly linked to the ghats of Benaras and the river Ganges. He was often heard playing his shehnai on the ghats. The city has a large Muslim population and the famed Benaras sarees are mostly weaved by them.

Prof Santanu Chaudhary has joined @AshokaUniv as the Dean of its newest School - the Vachani School of Advanced Computing! 🎉 Have to share an anecdote here. When I joined AIIMS Delhi in 2020 and successfully convinced my guide and HOD to give me an AI development thesis, my first task was to identify the best person for being my co-guide. 👀 Prof Chaudhary was the first person who came to my mind, who having spent a good time in IIT Delhi had shifted to IIT Jodhpur as their director. We mailed him and he was kind enough to support us and put us in touch with Prof Deepak Mishra. 😃 Our project in turn went on to win many international awards and many firsts from India. It was also a turning point for me because it led me to meet the most visionary physician scientists and people who genuinely were changing the world and led me to fully transition to a career in science and research. 📈 It is a great privilege for us to have Prof Chaudhury at Ashoka, just next to our School for Biosciences and hopefully will lead to fantastic groundbreaking AI innovations from the schools! 🙌
