Good evening (or afternoon), all! I'll be speaking at UniCon 2023 by SCYTHE this Friday (14 Apr.) at 8:20 pm Cairo time (2:20 pm EST). The session will be about threat detection, adversary emulation, and a bit about EDR tests! Hope to see you all there :)

I attempted #OSCP -> I failed. I attempted #OSCE -> I failed. I attempted #GIAC #GSE -> I failed........While looking for some stuff, I found my old GSE cert, and my entire #cybersecurity journey flashed in my memory. My GSE journey started in 2007. After meeting the prerequisites for the GSE (3 GIAC Certs + 2 white papers), I took multiple breaks (out of my control) before continuing to build up the skills and the money required to challenge the GSE exam (a two days on-site practical exam in Vegas scheduled twice a year). I flew to Vegas, challenged the exam, and I failed! My journey failures were like this: OSCP-> fail -> attempt again -> PASS OSCE-> fail -> attempt again -> fail -> attempt again -> PASS GSE-> fail -> attempt again -> PASS I am sharing this with those who may feel disappointed anywhere in the journey. DO NOT GIVE UP! You must accept that failure is a core part of the equation. Knocked out? Get up on your feet again. If it was easy, everybody would do it! Life is HARD, and so YOU should be! @offsectraining @CertifyGIAC @SANSInstitute #InfoSec #BlueTeam
