As soon as we start seeing skateboarding as an art & public good, how we look at funding & sustainability changes radically. It's still eye-wateringly difficult, but it's a different conversation with different, more amenable & understanding allies & different vocabulary & praxis

The thing that most holds non-profit #skateboarding back in the UK is the assumption that, to be sustainable, projects must somehow recoup income from their community - like mainstream sports clubs or "facilities". This creates barriers for those skateboarding is best at reaching
