Did you know that horses often slide on grass for grooming, itch relief, and social play? It’s also a sign of good welfare and mental stimulation for the horses. I remember when sledding down a hill was all I needed to be happy. Good old days.

A member of the Stafford County Sheriff's Office stepped in to help one of the nation’s most iconic symbols after a report of an injured bald eagle on Betts Road. Deputy Harrah located the bird and safely secured it after observing an injured wing. Showing both professionalism and compassion, he ensured the eagle received immediate care. The eagle was later transported to the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center for recovery and rehabilitation. @Mr_Husky1 Awww. I’m sad that the ewe cried all night for her stillborn lamb. But happiness came in the morning. 🐏💖

Sad night last night but today is a brighter day. The ewe (female sheep) on the left lambed a stillborn and we were unable to resuscitate it. She cried most of the night longing for her lamb after we removed it. The ewe on the right lambed twins last week, though they were very small. It seems that today she has given one of her twins to the grieving mother to raise as her own. This is a photo of them together with their new children.
