@secretHT1 Likewise teachers. Everyone will ask, "Did you have a lovely summer?" and wait for details. And tell you about their surfing/time in Cornwall/Greek Islands. None stayed home every day with an anxious EBSA child in the rain. Let's just get on with next term.

Before you pile in with write/tell me what you did in the holidays, remember some will not want to share. Some will have had difficult holidays or they’ll be embarrassed they can’t match the holidays of their mates.

I watch the cancer research advert where it says, “the chemo has melted the cancer away”, and dream of that moment. Today I had that moment; my scan showed no evidence of cancer. Thankfully I have no eyelashes because I would have cried mascara all down my face.

@mflem388 @Alex_Bramley3 You probably had an hr for lunch, and an afternoon registration or ‘travel time’ between lessons. Schools finish any time between 3 and 3:30 depending on how the school day is structured. Hope that answers your question!

@Alex_Bramley3 Wasn’t making a point about teachers mate my brother is a head teacher. My point was more I always thought all kids did 9-3:30

Imagine the impact if instead of striking for 4 days, all teachers for the foreseeable worked the ‘9am-3pm’ term time many believe they do!

@MissC_theNQT @WallPlaitedpony @MrTs_NQTs The DBS statement will be a form with the application pack which you complete to say that you haven’t had any criminal prosecutions etc and that you are happy for them to carry out a DBS check should you be successful. Good luck. 😊

@WallPlaitedpony @MrTs_NQTs They haven't requested I get a new DBS. The exact words on the 'how to apply' form were that a 'DBS Statement' was to be sent with the application form. I don't know if statement is that same thing as check. Unsure is that's an obvious/silly question

DBS Statement vs DBS Check - same thing??? I need a DBS Statement for my job application and I'm panicking as my update service renewal payment was declined and I've only just realised. The only DBS I have a physical copy of is from my placement last year (1/2) @MrTs_NQTs
