People hoping for Trump TACO are going to be disappointed. He would much rather double down instead of pulling back here. He will keep escalating this war..

Trump says Iran has 48 hours to open the Strait, then says we don’t even need the Strait, then says you better open it, then says the war is basically over, then says it could go on for a long time, then says we’re not talking because there’s nobody to talk to, then says there are very productive conversations, then says we’re not negotiating, then says maybe we are, then calls for a 5-day pause, then says we don’t need allies, then says all our allies better step up, then says everything is under control, then threatens escalation again. Every position, every direction, all at once.

2/ No negotiations have been held with the US, and fakenews is used to manipulate the financial and oil markets and escape the quagmire in which the US and Israel are trapped.

The best read here is: * Trump folded before markets open * Meaning the situation in Iran is worse than the US is letting on in general I would assume: * Iran unswayed by bluff * No plan to open Hormuz * US knows Israel plans to continue escalations * Trump being squeezed by markets * Gives insiders relief and more grift profit * We see Israel continue strikes * Strait outflows still low this week * Closer we get to Friday close, the more strikes escalate again * In 1-2 weeks when US troop deployments start arriving, they put boots on the ground starting in Kharg with large US losses. If no off ramp prior, that’s when the pain and scale of this war starts to become realized by US news (and markets) who have become overly trusting of a President who lies through his teeth.
