Another day of isolated to scattered severe storms with damaging winds up to 70 mph once again being the main threat. Hail 1 to 2 inches in diameter will be possible across the plains as well as a couple of tornadoes could also be possible in the slight risk. Have a way to get weather alerts and be weather aware. I will be live on YouTube and Tik Tok this afternoon.

Severe weather and significant flash flooding is very possible today in the Plains and Mid-Atlantic. Damaging winds up to 75 mph is the main threat as well as large hail and a couple tornadoes will be possible as well! A level 3 out 4 moderate risk for flash flooding has been issued for portions of North Carolina and Virginia. Stay alert and weather aware today. I will have weather coverage this afternoon around 1pm CST!

July 8th 2025 Morning Day 1 SPC: Damaging winds along the East Coast look to be the main threat today with small hail and a wind threat for the Central Plains. Damaging winds 60 to 70 mph look hail up to 1 inch in diameter and a very low isolated tornado threat is possible but SPC has not highlighted anything yet at this time. I will have a full breakdown in my forecast video on YouTube by 9 AM CST! Be weather aware today and I hope everyone has a great day!

I'm just being honest, tomorrow reminds me a lot of May 26, 2024. Shear wasn't great, most storms began as hail storms, then the tornado threat kicked into gear late afternoon and early evening. I'm not saying it will be the same by any means, because no two events are the same. But there are some similarities between the two, and pretty much the same areas are going to be affected.
