I suspect you didn’t intend to disrespect your wife, and so you might have been surprised that some people, myself included, criticized you for speaking in a way that is unbecoming of a husband. I think you made a mistake. But your points here are not sound.
1. I never said you used that word. I said that’s what you called her (while contrasting her sin with your own virtue). “Promiscuous” is an adjective, the nearest nouns for which are “whore” and “slut.”
2. They are all pejorative terms that refer to people who engage in sexual immorality. They all carry negative connotations because they refer to shameful acts. If the nouns are more evocative than the adjective, that owes more to their Saxon (rather than Latinate) origins than to their meaning. It’s the same reason “pulchritudinous” is less evocative than “hot.” The words all mean the same thing, and we should not refer to our wives in such a way—certainly not to millions of strangers.
3. My phrasing was not in the present tense but rather the past. (See: “called” versus “calls” or “is calling.”) But even my description of your wording does not imply the present tense. By way of analogy, “she was promiscuous” : “he called her a whore” :: “Jeter was a Bronx Bomber” : “he called him a Yankee.” (Derek Jeter does not currently play for the Yankees, and the final comment does not suggest that anyone thinks he does.)
As I said, I don’t think you meant to disrespect your wife. You might have the best of intentions. None of that is my point. You made a controversial post, which included both admirable comments about grace and inappropriate language that in my estimation is unbecoming of a husband and not to be recommended to others—hence my public commentary on your own public statement.

Multiple times, @michaeljknowles said I called my wife a whore in my post (as did @benshapiro), even though I wrote "My wife was formerly promiscuous."
To my surprise, upon checking the original video, the top comments are now overwhelmingly condemning their response to our story of God's redemption (screenshot below).
Michael is now doubling-down on it on X by saying that me writing that she was formerly promiscuous is the same as calling her a whore (pic attached).
Here's the three primary issues with them saying I called my wife a whore, and why Michael's argument is wrong.
1. It isn't true. I never used the word "whore," so he shouldn't be telling people I called my wife this.
2. We instinctively know that "she was formerly promiscuous" carries with it much more grace than "she's a whore," because "promiscuous" is an adjective describing her past, whereas "whore" is a degrading noun, a slur used to speak harshly of women. They're similar words, but different in meaning and intent. They are not the same.
3. Crucially, they spoke in the present tense: "He called her a whore" (implying this is a present-tense sin issue, something she still is). I spoke in the past tense: "My wife was formerly promiscuous."
This tense difference matters immensely, especially when people greatly struggle to separate one's life before Christ from their life after Christ. The world can't fathom that such change can happen.
But the Bible is clear: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (1 Cor. 5:17).
Or consider Galatians 2:20: "I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me."
That old Ashley is dead.
It's because of these truths that my wife and I choose to boldly, confidently, and without giving loads of explicit details, share the sins that stained us before Christ with others (for I am indeed a great sinner and struggle in many ways, too).
Our story isn't shared frequently, but at times and when fitting, so that other believers can be encouraged, other sinners can be given hope of redemption and forgiveness, and the lost can hear the good news of the gospel: that though all are headed for Hell for their sins (1 Cor. 6:9-10), anyone who repents and places their trust in the resurrected Christ will be saved (John 3:16, 18). Regardless of how much you've sinned, you can't out-sin the mercy of God. You can be washed clean, your shame and guilt removed, and you can have a brand-new identity in Jesus Christ (Titus 3:5-6). And we’re living proof of this!
I have no ill will against Michael, Ben, @andrewklavan, or anyone else for their remarks and mocking, nor do I demand an apology. I forgive them. My greatest desire for them and anyone who's following this story, as well as God's, is for them to "be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim. 2:4).

Neville Singham says that Americans did not fight the fascists during WWII. He calls it a “fascist lie” to frame the war as a battle “between fascism, democracy and communism.”
According to him, if you look at the death toll, only 1% of WWII deaths were Anglo-Americans while 59.8% of socialists and 13.1% of 'colonized peoples' died during the war.
He concludes that this means the US and UK barely participated or sacrificed in World War II compared to the Soviet Union and China. Therefore, the communists are the ones who really won the war and should have been the ones to set the terms and norms of a new chapter in world history.
Instead, the Americans did.
Which is why the post-WWII order that America created, the current global system, is INVALID. It is a fascist order, imposed on the "actual winners," China and the Soviets.
This is what he means when he says “we have to undo the ideological damage that has been done by the narrative of World War II.”
So not only does he refuse to acknowledge the fact that if not for America, China would be speaking Japanese today. He also ignores the Flying Tigers, and the 400,000 Americans who perished in the Pacific theater that saw naval battles from Midway to Okinawa, firebombing campaigns of Japanese cities, and the dropping of the atomic bombs that finally forced their surrender.
It's one thing to minimize the American contributions to and sacrifices for the war effort, but then to recast the country that defeated fascism in both Europe and the Pacific as the perpetuator of a “fascist” post-war system in a cynical attempt to usurp power is quite another.
It's disgusting. And idiots around the world fall for it because they use the right words.
So when Tucker and Nick Fuentes ask, "did the good guys really win WWII?"
It now becomes obvious how that line of thought serves Neville Singham's and the CCP's goals.

Trump announces that the Democrats have created a “true national crisis” and he is ordering DHS Secretary Mullin to pay TSA agents to address this “emergency situation”.
But the most important part, is Trump confirming that he is willing to use the full array of powers as POTUS “to protect our great country, as I always will do”.
He is confirming that he is not going to let the Dems destroy this nation, and he is willing to use emergency powers to do it.
This is what I mean when I say Trump will be forced to go the “Executive route”. As POTUS, he has the broad unilateral authority to do what is necessary to defend NATSEC and the survival of the Republic (Insurrection Act).
Like I have been preaching, the decision to save this nation has already been made. Defeat is not an option. There is no turning back. This is warfare, and Trump is going to win. In many ways, he has already won, and we are just witnessing the public rollout.

Dear @ComicDaveSmith, I'll engage with you here because you were apparently very upset on your most recent appearance on @joerogan's podcast. I don't engage with your positions because in a world of fixed resources, one does not have the time to engage with everyone in possession of an opinion. You've managed to catapult yourself onto the conversation; more power to you. Quantum physicists should not bother with my opinion on the topic since I readily admit that I'm hardly an expert in that field; I dare venture that my knowledge of quantum physics (very little) is orders of magnitude higher than your "knowledge" of Israel and the Middle East. I have epistemological humility; you possess none. Cheers.

A shattered family from New York is trying to figure out how to get their daughter’s body back home from Chicago after she was executed by an illegal. A wife is in labor right now without her husband by her side because he was killed in a fire set by a repeat criminal in Chicago. Dozens of “teens” terrorized parts of the city last night.
