@nomisinfohere_ @ajclassicjr They dont. But you're still missing the point by being purposely obtuse. Obviously Im talking about heavy autotune use, not light vocal processing. The difference between rappers like Black Thought/Nas vs Travis Scott/Future, with respect to autotune, is stark.

@Meta27330359 @ajclassicjr I didn’t bring up anything completely different lol. I still have the stance that all rappers use autotune. Again. Go to a studio and ask the engineer if he’s using it

There is nothing unprecedented about him except longevity. There have been rappers with bigger peaks (Nelly, Hammer, 50 Cent), there are more influential rappers (Nas, Jay), rappers with better album (Ye, Future, T.i). He has the club in 2016 but it ain’t 2016 anymore.

@nomisinfohere_ @ajclassicjr Now we are talking about completely different things though. There are rappers that use this as a key component of their style, and there are tools engineers have used forever for minor correction. Completely different subjects.

@Meta27330359 @ajclassicjr It’s all rappers nowadays for sure. 1% don’t if you’re lucky. You can obviously manually use pitch correction, but things like melodyne are extremely inefficient if not used with autotune, unless the artist has extremely good tonal control. They all use it. Go to a studio

@nomisinfohere_ @ajclassicjr Yes bro. We all realize there is a whole generation of mumble rappers that use autotune to excess, so much so that the robot voice has practically become its own genre. This is nowhere near "all rappers" and autotune is not necessary for pitch correction.

@Meta27330359 @ajclassicjr You are delusional if you think rappers out here are not using autotune for pitch correction in their songs, especially the more melodic/singing type songs. Go into a studio with any rappers you may know

@nomisinfohere_ @ajclassicjr Incorrect. Autotune is a specific plugin. A pitch correction or minor compression, reverb, etc. is not autotune.

@Meta27330359 @nejustan @GPrime85 Now you are just disingenuous. The precision, skill and patience to do what he does is beyond words. And yes, forgers who could replicate genuine works of art are also immensely skilled.

When we see a painting by Leonardo Da Vinci, we instantly recognize his hand: The soft blending, ethereal people with heavy eyelids and no eyebrows, mysterious otherworldly backgrounds. When we see a painting with raw colors out of the tube applied with bold, short brush strokes, we know it's Van Gogh. An artist's style is his signature. When art looks like a photograph, however, it just looks like a photograph.

Muchos expertos se refieren al óleo de Leng Jun de 2004 como «la pintura que supera a la Mona Lisa». Se considera una de las obras más hiperrealistas del mundo

@nejustan @Meta27330359 @GPrime85 For me, the best part is he made sure there is that "fuzzy" texture of individual strands on the sweater. It's hard to see on pictures because they aren't good enough quality, but the attention to detail is just incredible.

Really love Austin Butlers style. Think it’s easy to emulate and very hot boy coded. Couple things. He always has a good pair of pants on. His jeans fit him. First pic is the first pic because I don’t think guys understand (or maybe they do idk) how how it is when they’re walking around in a good pair of jeans a tee and a baseball hat. I mean. That’s it. That’s the formula. Very hot. Second thing. His top is usually a tee, a long sleeve or a button up shirt. But he layers and uses proportions to his advantage. His jackets are normally cropped and boxy. Shirts tucked in. He’s using proportions to his advantage. Also. Contrast.

The resurrection of Jesus shouldn’t be reduced either to a detachable symbol or to a bare empirical datum. As a story, it carries mythic-literary force: rebirth, forgiveness, vindication, hope after catastrophe, and the defeat of death. There’s more, of course. 🧵

Why the resurrection of Jesus is a mythological or literary truth whose meaning is symbolic: starting over, being born again, forgiveness, redemption, etc. To treat it as an empirical truth misses the point of the story, I argue here: shop.skeptic.com/products/truth…

@nejustan @Noxtradm @GPrime85 Whats the point? The photo already exists. Maybe some new AI tool allows him a billion times zoom, and he starts drawing it perfectly at the atomic level. So wat? You a fan of famous forgers who fooled experts too? Han van Meegeren? Elmyr de Hory?

@Noxtradm @GPrime85 Highly doubt if you have two new works - one of Leng Jun and another of the next best hyperrealism artist - side by side, that youd tell them apart.

There isn't a single that does microscopic realism as good as him. The individual fibers of clothes, the pores on the skin. While there are photorealistic artists, their art doesn't look nearly as good up close. Leng Jun is simply on another level when it comes to photorealistic people.
