In an open book exam, most important things are: -
1. Understanding the principles of the subject
2. Knowing what is in your notes in relation to topics - and finding it quick
3. Understand question approach
4. Time management
Do not stress and over read, peruse and understand.
@MetaAloroE Perfect!
Don't copy the answer as it appears in the book but understand what exactly you need to pick in your notes. Sectionor principle, etc of the law. Open book helps you to memorize faster and contextualize the answer. Best of luck colleagues!
Well stated my Learned Brother. There is so much soul searching we need to all go through as Advocates. We now need unity more than ever before. Only a united voice of reason will see us through these tough times. All Advocates must openly discuss these matters!! No one is above the profession, no one.
Congratulations to all the Bar Course students @LDC_Uganda upon completion of your oral exams. I am certain you have learnt that you are very resilient and adaptable - traits you will need in life. Let’s belt up and move on to the next. Congratulations to you all. God Bless.
The ultimate goal is to graduate successfully… challenges will always be there… BUT you must rise above them. Passmark to get on the list is 50%.
Do not lose hope, THE LIST begins from 50. Hunt down that 50.
After the first day, students @LDC_Uganda surely realized that it’s not impossible to get through a Panel with good marks and smiles.
The experience will live with you forever, so enjoy the moments. Remain calm and back yourself. Get enough rest. Good luck
@LDC_Uganda Oral Practical Exams…
1. Be composed & confident.
2. Listen to questions & understand them properly. If needed, relay the facts to the panel to ensure you are spot on.
3. Where you feel unsure, define key terms first- rest will flow.
Trust in yourself. Good luck
@Andrewmusimenta@LDC_Uganda And I pray our students all get to friendly panels that will give them the platform to excel. Keep them in your prayers🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
@MetaAloroE@LDC_Uganda I was almost cooked on that venture capital and mezzanine financing thing, but your guidance helped me regain my composure, and it turned out to be a walk in the park.
Sometimes, all it takes is a friendly panel to see one through. Kudos sir!
@moses_mukabire@LDC_Uganda You are ready for this. You know these things. It is normal to feel pressure, just back yourself and you will come out on top👍🏽👍🏽
From Monday, Oral Practical Exams begin on Monday @LDC_Uganda . Keep your calm, be confident, rest well before you get onto the Panel.
Take time to pray before each Panel.
Ensure you prepare and patch up any areas left by Sunday. Good luck
Kampala Campus students @LDC_Uganda , this rain is for reading to allow ur heads cool down after serious reading. It is not for cuddling. Orals are next week. So let’s comb those principles and statutes !!!
