This is completely delusional and disconnected from reality. Ordinals literally started with one guy dropping a CLI only tool, and literally blew up almost instantly with no infrastructure at all. It materially increased node counts. The investments and infrastructure FOLLOWED the demand.

The real war that matters hasn’t even started yet. BIP-110 is largely irrelevant in the bigger picture. The conversation that actually matters is the coming battle over block space as Bitcoin moves toward post-quantum cryptography. Bigger signatures, bigger public keys, bigger blocks, more data. The block space debate is only getting started.

What is both hilarious and deeply ironic about BIP-110 is that once Bitcoin enables quantum-safe signatures, either the public keys or the signatures themselves will be so large that they can carry arbitrary spam data. At that point, every current attempt to stop spam by restricting OP_RETURN or similar mechanisms will be futile.

It’s going to activate. It’ll just activate with whatever hash rate they can gather or rent and whatever users choose to run it. Meanwhile, Bitcoin mainnet will retain the overwhelming majority of the hash rate and will almost always stay one or two blocks ahead. If that happens, they’ll simply find themselves on a minority fork.

Can someone explain to me how BIP-110 will possibly have any chance of activating with this level of miner signalling? I’m not really against it in principle, but I have no idea where the confidence is coming from on the BIP-110 side. Genuinely curious.
