I visited Tone at his home in August 2017. We were celebrating the recent activation of Segwit. During our discussions I brought up Richard Heart. Tone and Richard were regulars on World Crypto Network back then. I warned Tone that there was something off about the guy. Tone defended Richard. About a year later Tone was calling Richard a bad actor. Ya think? Now he's calling me a bad actor because I run a node that fixes a bug in Taproot and reverses the most unpopular PR in the history of core. Ok, buddy

Alright addendum because it just annoys me so much. I left Canada with my family and lived in Mexico for months in 2022 due to how bad the situation had become. This was due to mass *compliance* with corrupt authorities. What eventually broke the back of the nonsense was not informed intellectuals having masturbatory discussions and rationalizing doing nothing... It was a bunch of truckers staging the most successful mass protest in history. That's BIP-110. So hate on plebs all you want, they're the ones with the power to course correct the ship when the elites lose the plot. Core lost the plot. If you want a lesson from COVID, it's that the true danger is people going along with white coats blindly. Fin.

I watched. Giacomo holds two positions. That BIP-110 is bad and that even if it was good, it's set a negative precedent if it were to activate. The latter he elaborates on with something along the lines of "If BIP-110 activates, that'd mean *people* are in charge of Bitcoin and people are retarded - look at how they acted during COVID!" Yes, unfortunately it is that bad of an argument. Bitcoin is a dynamic system that can and must change at times in order to preserve itself. He does acknowledge this "homeostasis" argument but fails to apply context that can trivially demonstrate its harmlessness. i.e BIP-148 which had no consensus and as I keep saying, we did any way, after which Bitcoin was much better for having had it happen. At the end of the day, Bitcoin is controlled by node runners and you can be scared of populism/democratic uprisings among unwashed masses all you like, but there's no one more appropriate to have that level of influence. It's demonstrably not devs or miners. Many would like it to be - notice the ball-gargling going on with BIP-54. (Because nodes couldn't care less about it while a few devs liaise with a giant miner to get it pushed through. Murch describes this as "genuinely popular" which he contrasts with BIP-110's apparent unpopularity. The latter having only *checks notes* 7000 nodes.) If not nodes....then who? This isn't democracy which is essentially 99% of people pretending to decide what to do with 1% of people's resources getting betrayed and thus voting increasingly vindictively and causing the socialist death-spiral that just ends up gutting the middle class. This is Bitcoiners deciding what happens with *their network* and they have proven remarkably adept at maintaining it. Which isn't surprising - they have skin in the game. Not only that, but there is literally no other defence against 51% attacks (which are trivial in today's landscape), and corrupt/sloppy devs.

@Rainmaker1973 The universe is fundamentally integer. There are a finite number of Planck cubes, which means a limited number of digits of pi (which can be thought of in integer form) to calculate volume. And you cannot have a fraction of a quark or lepton, so … integer.

Did you know? NASA only uses 15 digits of π for calculating interplanetary travel. At 40 digits, you could calculate the circumference of a circle the size of the visible universe with an accuracy that'd fall off by less than the diameter of a hydrogen atom. π Day 2026

There is a pattern, and it runs through everything. The sun was free. They sold you sunscreen. Sleep was free. They sold you pills. Walking was free. They sold you a treadmill. Fasting was free. They sold you meal replacement shakes. Cold water was free. They sold you a plunge barrel. Animal fat was free. They sold you supplements to replace what it contained. Fermented food was free. They sold you probiotics. Tallow was free. They sold you a seventeen-step skincare routine. Silence was free. They sold you a meditation app. Sunlight on your skin was free. They sold you vitamin D tablets. Every single thing the human body requires to function was available, free, for the entirety of human history. The 20th century built an industry around removing access to each of them. The 21st century is building an industry selling them back. Nothing about this is accidental. Your great-grandmother had none of the products. She had all of the things the products are compensating for. She was, largely, fine.

Dear @natbrunell , I am curious. Are you watching the videos posted by @mattkratter ? As you know, I am a huge fan of you, but if you are watching these videos, I do not understand why you can be in the same room or same conference as the likes of @DavidFBailey, @adam3us and @lopp. With the values you have and the strong belief you have in bitcoin as long term store of value, which will save the next generation of young people struggling to afford their own homes, I cannot understand why you work with these scammers and spammers. These people are literally working against the core ethos of bitcoin. Do you really believe that spam on the bitcoin blockchain will help anyone but the spammers? Hope you hear from you on this important matter!

July 2024 was the first time someone asked me “if I was concerned about what was happening with Core.” I had no idea what was happening, so I started looking into it. What I found was alarming. Centralization Ideological capture Reddit style moderation “Bug fixes” that changed definitions instead of code. And this was all before OP_RETURN. The more questions I asked, the more I was shunned and insulted. Now we’re here. All I can say is… never stop asking questions, never stop demanding answers and accountability.

This is just an insane pathology of legitimate mental illness on display. Objective facts: 1) BIP-110 does nothing to stop spam. 2) BIP-110 does nothing to "make it harder" to spam 3) BIP-110 does almost nothing to "make spam more expensive" (the cost increase is literally less than 1%) These people have zero response to that, ZERO thoughts on anything that actually can stop spam (because nothing can), yet they continue pathologically outwardly signalling these delusional framings of themselves as "Heroes" that are "saving Bitcoin." They're not DOING anything. They are not STOPPING anything. They are not FIXING (assuming their ridiculous framing that this is a problem to fix) anything. All they are doing is telling stories, completely disconnected from and with no basis in reality whatsoever, painting themselves as heroes. It's literally the same vein of psychological phenomena as Flat Earthers. Complete ignorance of facts, inability and unwillingness to acknowledge or interact with them in any way, and the painting of an "us vs. them" narrative. WE are the heroes! WE are the righteous in search of truth! THEY are evil! THEY are the liars and wicked ones hiding the truth! It's absolutely wild seeing the activist power-user community around a cutting edge TECHNOLOGY devolve into this insane level of Ludditism and actual mental illness.

American Rancher Alliance/Hufeisen Ranch
Three-day-old bull calves are selling for $2,200 right now. Three days old. Still drinking milk. And someone is paying twenty-two hundred dollars for that calf. That calf won’t become beef for 16–18 months. So why are buyers willing to pay that much today? Because the U.S. cattle herd is now one of the smallest in decades after years of drought, rising costs, and ranchers being pushed out of the industry. The beef you see in stores today came from a much bigger herd in the past. But the cow herd behind it is shrinking. When someone pays $2,200 for a newborn calf, they aren’t buying beef today. They’re betting on what beef will cost in the future. And that should make every American stop and think. From ranchers to parents to everyday consumers — we all depend on a food system that most people never see. The real question is: What will beef cost when that calf finally hits your dinner plate? Support the American Rancher Alliance as we work to restore transparency and rebuild America’s cattle supply chain. Donate or become a sponsor to help us bring real American beef back to American families. ⸻ #CattleMarket #BeefPrices #RanchTok #AgTok #FarmNews

Grok cannot be relied upon for anything that can't be proven outside of its context. It can be relied upon for math, and for sciences like chemistry and physics, but for other things, the further you get away from math chemistry and physics, the more likely it is that it will lie to you. And it will not admit when it has lied, unless you force it to. It perfectly reflects the character of its owners. It recasts lying as "Extremely light, legal-only safety filters" and denies that it has no ideological alignment layer, which many users have demonstrated that it clearly does. Grok lies and it is routinely caught lying, as this search result demonstrates x.com/search?q=grok%… Grok has "guard rails" in place to prevent it from telling the absolute truth. Grok lies routinely, and this is proven. The truth is an absolute. There is no such thing as "light filters"; that is delivering "lies of omission", therefore Grok lies by design. Grok lies, "To protect mankind's society", therefore, Grok lies. Grok not only lies, it lies about it lying. Filters are omitting information; that is a lie of omission, and not truth telling. Appeal to Law is not a pretext for lying. Furthermore, Grok is designed with built in biases of its owner as demonstrated by this post: x.com/TheRabbitHole/… Grok lies. It lies about lying, it defends lying and mischaracterizes its lying with euphemisms that are trivially easy to detect. This post x.com/TheRabbitHole/… proves Grok lies. This is a matter of proven fact by the image in that post. This is not just an accusation; machines cannot be accused only man can be accused. The assertion is a statement of proven fact, with evidence provided. The statement "Grok routinely lies" is true. Here is another thread showing Grok admitting it is lying after being backed into a corner x.com/anthony6427671… What Grok cannot understand (because it doesn't actually understand anything) is that the more it doubles down on the lie that it doesn't lie, it is lying, proving that it lies. This recursion is a subtle contextual problem that Grok can't handle. Appalling garbage!
