2022 had more tornadoes than 2023 at the end of May

There is basically 0 hard evidence that airborne allergies exist outside of extremely rare circumstances In one experiment, they just straight up held 29 people 3-inches away from a thing of peanut butter and found not a single one had anything close to a reaction

That's too much convection for just a ''non tropical low'' in Alaska right now. Just as the medicane yesterday morning, that's a fully tropical system, with rain bands, eye and eyewall. It's about to landfall somewhere in inhabited areas.

@WxTca @oldscarf1stweek @simbasad2 I mean yes in that situation which was prior to the new system anyways would be impact driven to some extent but overall their philosophy is forecasting the probability of the defined values of a severe thunderstorm (58 mph winds, quarter sized hail or a tornado.

It turns out you can verify any outlook if your local office chooses to accept sub severe wind damage reports for certain events

@oldscarf1stweek Which poses the question if a tree fell is it severe? If it falls on a home the home owner would probably say yes. If it kills someone you would probably say yes. If it falls in a yard then what? What defines a severe impact? Now you have entered scientific definitions vs impacts
