@simbasad2 @ColeWeather25 Ok then, if it’s so remarkable, remark on it.

Enhanced Convection near the Dateline rather than near South America...
If these Central Pacific El Nino features continue into Fall and Winter (as most Seasonal Models strongly suggest), it's going to be interesting for Winter Lovers in the Northeast US.

NY NJ PA Weather@nynjpaweather
A little hint of what I've been shearing with Premium Consulting Members, this is not your typical east-based El Niño signal.

@GKeller_WX i truly think that this is a milestone in how far we've come in being able to predict the weather.. i would imagine D7 risks get more common as models get better
English

@MeteoMark @ColeWeather25 there is a very remarkable difference lol

@mpierre19 @a_dose_of_wx delaware is actually comparable to the plains imo.. absolutely zero trees along route 1 going down to the shore

@NotChilledOut that was infact one of the best years for american viotors 😛

@SandhyaABC7 i agree with the last sentence. it's hard to not be skeptical of strong el ninos after 2023

EL NIÑO ADVISORY: Out today indicating it's strengthening, will continue to get stronger, 81% chance of very strong event Oct-Dec, 97% chance continues through spring 2027, rank among strongest events going back to 1950. Strong event doesn't guarantee strong impacts. #ElNiño

@phillywxguy_ the lack of any real mixed layer and therefore lack of any good low level lapse rates already make me skeptical of severe storm development. rainfall will be very high for some areas though
English

Same thoughts as last night. Lack of shear today will cause any of these cells that form to move slowly and will cause a majority to choke themselves out. That’s the biggest reason why I think the HRRR is overdoing it…
PhillyWeatherGuy@phillywxguy_
I agree with Sebastian here (give him a follow if you haven’t already). Another thing to look out for is the higher potential for frequent lightning with some of these storms due to the high PWAT values. Hopefully SNJ gets some decent rainfall from this to help with the drought
