@yvette @vincent_pp4806 @Abstract_Eco @AbstractChain @LucaNetz @0xCygaar this doesn’t represent the entire community, it represents people whom agree with Loki. the wider community includes a variety of different types of users that aren’t just NFT holders. we were getting complaints about XP inflation and many abuse reports and acted accordingly.

Since you guys keep QTing this post, I'll address some points here: - We made slight adjustments to the XP given to top NFT collections (by onchain activity, volume, market cap). We updated the calculation for many of the longtail collections because we received many reports of people mass holding super cheap NFTs to farm large amounts of XP. NFT projects that are no longer active were diluting the rewards for active NFT builders - this is not the behavior we want. - We will introduce a more dynamic system for NFT holdings designed to reward the most active collections starting next week. This system will adjust week by week and look at trading volume + onchain activity + overall ecosystem participation (ex. building interesting apps with your IP). - For memecoin holdings, we were basing the XP given based off of inflated trading volume and price data. A lot of this was done to soften the blow from the steep price decreases seen throughout crypto since October. We have since updated our internal values to be up to date which resulted in a decrease in memecoin XP. Starting next week, we will ramp up the XP given to memecoin teams actively building their IP and growing their holder base. - As communicated to our app builders previously, there will be an influx of XP given to teams creating onchain usecases, onboarding new users to Abstract, and building innovative mechanics. Several of these teams will be launching new apps and mechanics in the coming weeks. - We originally didn't want to change the calculation for holdings too much, which is why I tweeted the below tweet 3 weeks ago. However, after doing a deep dive into the XP distributed to inactive projects as well as going through the reports our community had flagged to us about XP abuse, we had to make changes to better reward those that are still active onchain participants in the ecosystem.

Abstract XP for NFTs has been heavily nerfed. Forever? The system is supposed to be dynamic, so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt, especially considering what Luca has said many times regarding holding assets. That said, we also know there are other people working on Abstract, and Luca is (luckily) busy doing God’s work at Pudgy. Personally, I went from 130k XP last week to 20k now, and I actually bought more NFTs this week. I’m a top holder of @finalbosuX and @RuyuiStudios.(I should buy more @FugzOfficial too) I’m fine with a dynamic system, but I’m definitely not fine with some of these takes, because community is the number one retention driver for everything, and NFTs are the core of that community. Also, every little drama on Abstract gets amplified to the extreme. That just shows people care a lot and that there are real users there. And yes, most of them are sticking around because of the quality NFT brands. Abstract and ApeChain are basically the only chains outside of Ethereum with real active communities and successful NFT brands floor-price wise. I think the team will come back to this decision and make the system truly more dynamic than it currently is.

@Rubiks_Gus Yes 30 days consecutive upvote and running AI bots to inflate TPS is NOT solely for XP. Don’t try and gauge XP!! But here’s a list of multipliers and favorite actions that make you the most XP.

100% agree with this take. Any other action you’re doing SOLELY for XP is considered farming. And we should never forget Abstract’s motto, “Farmers get smoked.”

Everyone needs to stop with the FUD. Those who keep spreading FUD; YOU CAN GO! My XP this week is the same as last week. I’m simply playing the games I enjoy, holding NFT collections I genuinely believe in within the ecosystem, and allocating my budget across DeFi apps. Instead of complaining, focus on what you can improve. The Abstract team is building for the long term and prioritizing what truly benefits the chain. Holding low quality NFTs doesn’t improve onchain metrics or contribute to a stronger ecosystem. It might feel like a harsh decision, but when you look at the bigger picture, it makes sense. honestly not trying to sound harsh or anything but shouldn't the main core community of abstract be rewarded properly? not just Ely, a lot of other folks from the core community lost over 60% of their initial weekly XP sure it's more balanced now but this basically makes farming Abstract early (talking about people who extracted money from memes and games and also made XP then left) look like winners just food for thought on my own standpoint as someone who is not actively using abstract like before it makes sense to have his XP lowered, as i only hold assets on abstract and that's it.
